He's describing his perfect picnic lunch, which as you may recall included cantelopes, while playing on the Aussie beaches with all the other cute Aussie guys...

He's also saying he remembers that Phee was there... and he agrees her fiance puts him to shame...

I so need to watch Mary Bryant. Bought the DVD and everything and haven't gotten round to watching it :shock:

Be warned coco, even for someone as renowned as a crier as me, MB made me SOB for hours... And I'm not usually a fan of costume drama either.

Oh I haven't sobbed for hours over a movie in a long time. Need to find time to watch it especially as I LOVE costume drama

Oh but it is well worth the tears... Alex actually does star in the movie and thus is in it a lot. I think Jack Davenport was 'sposed to be seen as the romantic character, but well... yeah, right.

And he's really really good. For such a young actor he was amazingly good in this role. I'd love him to do another costume drama some day, as I, too, love those, coco...

I've been wanting to rewatch it, but it is three hours long and it's hard to find that block of time...

MB did poor old Jack no favours. He's one of the very few famous people I've actually seen up close and personal and he's rather lovely. But in MB, outgunned and overshadowed. In so many ways.

Ah yes, poor Jack....destined not to get the girl yet again. (referring to Pirates of the Caribbean movies as well)

Awesome mini-series. All of the actors did an amazing job. Well worth a watch....or 3.
