This scene and the bar scene are two of my very favourite Mick moments. I adore how utterly cool he is. He is in total vamp mode, out for revenge and I just love it.

And now for a little catharsis - for Mick at least. Time to let the vamp loose.

I couldn't let the "you make me want to" scene go. I had to write a story where he finally said the words to Beth.

Okay - I've gone from sobbing to squeeing.

I probably shouldn't like all the violence so much but there is just something about Mick here.

Well I have a well-developed appreciation for violence and I found it sexy as all get out.

It's a great rise and fall ending. The sheer bloody tragedy of Josh's death; Mick gets his revenge, but then the reality is about to set in with the final scene. That's not about death - it's all about the aftermath. And what an aftermath (even if they did screw it up with the subsequent episodes, they got it RIGHT here).

Alle, I shouldn't like the violence either.

I think it has a lot to do with it being the most in control vamp Mick we see. He doesn't shy away from it in these scenes and it just so different from what we usually see. He is normally so reluctant to go there.

Back for the final scene.
