I found this interview in MX Newspaper from the week TR premiered in Australia ( before Aussie Channel Ten pulled it )
MX is a free paper you can pick up at metro train stations here in Sydney. Very popular with commuters.

Short and sweet, but I thought you might enjoy the read!

I finally watched episode 3 to the end. Can you help me out with some things I didn't understand?
- What was the donor couple poisoned with in the end? I got that it wasn't carbon monoxide because the blood had the wrong colour, but what was it? And what helped the woman?
- In the conversation of Scott and Dr. Andy they talk about music. I didn't get that part, what music was it that Scott wanted to give to the girl?
- Just before Dr. Andy said to Scott "Don't push it", what did Scott say? It was the conversation where Scott was told he was on the list, I think.

All in all I really liked this episode. Dr. Lee and Dr. Jordan had some shining moments, Pam was in there a bit more, I liked the Romeo and Juliet story (because both actors were actually good) and understood more about the transplant process. Didn't get why the donor couple was dressed so weirdly. At first I thought it was a double suicide attempt and they dressed like they wanted to be remembered. The doctor said they were confused because of the poison, that was a weak excuse.
Liked the tidbits about Dr. Andy's past, but I don't like that they don't feed us something substantial instead of all these small bites only. I'm impatient.

Hey, francis.

Re the donor couple, it was a combination of carbon monoxide poisoning and a toxin released from the burning carpet. The syringe contained methylene blue - the antidote to the poison.

Scott had put together a playlist, i.e. a list of favourite songs.

As for what Scott said, I'll just have to go and re-watch. :mdrama: I'll get back to you...

Thank you, red. Methylene blue is given for nitrite-poisoning. If the carpet contained nitro it makes sense.

But: so they didn't take the couple's blood in the ER and find that it was grey instead of rosy-red? Didn't realize their faces were ashen instead of pink? Didn't check for other poisons? Well, it's TV, isn't it?

Scott: "Did anyone ever tell you you're one stellar human being?"
Andy: "Don't push it."

Shows In Trouble

Alex O'Loughlin just can't seem to catch a break. The hunky Australian, who starred in CBS' short-lived "Moonlight" (which had a rabid-fan following, but poor ratings), will probably leave our TV screens once again now that his medical drama "Three Rivers" has officially become a dud for CBS. The show posted lackluster ratings for its premiere, and its second week fared even worse (apparently, that's possible). We predict that CBS will give "Three Rivers" the boot very soon. We'll miss you, Alex

francis, the reason why the couple was dressed strangely is that carbon monoxide poison messes with the mind and can make you do some pretty stranges things. Most people get dizzy, or pass out or fall asleep before the poison actually kills them if they are exposed to high concentration levels. But some have known to carry on normal activity, or slightly abnormal activity before the poison kills. Believe it or not, the carbon monoxide poisoning can be gradual and the victim exhibit some "way out there", whacked out behavior weeks before they actually succumb to the poisoning. Just depends upon the level of exposure.

As for the playlist, I think Andy was teasing Scott a bit because he knew that his "friends" would laugh their collective a$$es off if they knew that Scott was actually putting together a playlist of music for his young love. :snicker: Such a supposedly rough, tough and super cool dude reduced to downloading songs from iTunes for an iPhone? Yeah, they would have ribbed him for a long time. Just like Andy did. :teeth:

Well... they can't actually know... but we all see the numbers, so we can all make our guesses. But no one but the suits really know.

The decent part here is, they are kind to Alex himself. And say they'll miss him. So they're not blaming HIM. Which they shouldn't, but that doesn't stop folks in H'wood.

Apologies in advance to those of you in California rooting for the Angels....

The schedule for the remaining games between the New York Yankees and the Anaheim Angels has Saturday's game starting at around 8:00 on the east coast, competing with the re-broadcast of "Good Intentions".....Understanding that I'm not a baseball fan, I really hope the Yankees win Saturday, because if they don't, the final game on Sunday will be at 8:20 on the east coast, competing with the broadcast of "Code Green". :banghead:

Even if the perfect storm comes together and we're competing with both baseball and football, CBS understands the drain on the audience, otherwise they wouldn't have broadcast reruns of CSI and The Mentalist on Thursday when game 5 was broadcast. So if the pundits are digging a grave for 3R on Monday, take it with a grain of salt. There are extenuating circumstances if the numbers are low.

More Alex O’Loughlin Aussie Articles!

Posted by mizzoH on Friday, October 23, 2009

Colin Vickery’s recent article about Alex O’Loughlin (previously published by The Courier-Mail) also appeared in two newspaper supplements: Melbourne’s Herald Sun Guide and T.connectv, a supplement to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph. Publication date for both is October 14, 2009.

There’s one new notable paragraph:

So how does O’Loughlin’s mother feel about her son following in her medical footsteps, even if it is only as an actor?

“Mum is thrilled because before now I’ve done a lot of stuff she doesn’t want to watch,” he laughs.

Both articles can best be viewed in the gallery on AOLRocks:

You know I had had that same thought about his mother...
My daddy woulda come to Hollywood and hauled my behind HOME had I filmed some of those scripts and scenes... :snicker:
And my husband woulda been about a step behind him of course... :rolling:

God bless Mrs. O'Loughlin.

Hi Folks,
Just dropping in to say TBTB just put on a commercial saying there would be a special showing of TR on SATURDAY. In case someone else hasn't already posted it.
