Ah yes, poor Jack....destined not to get the girl yet again. (referring to Pirates of the Caribbean movies as well)
Awesome mini-series. All of the actors did an amazing job. Well worth a watch....or 3.

Aghhh!! I gotta find the three hours somewhere sometime soon!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting those MB promo pics! They are gorgeous...and that mini-series was gorgeous as well. Beautifully filmed, excellent acting, believable sets and story...and oh--Will, sweet, lovely, true-blue, imperfect Will. I love MB soooooooo much. And I'm not fond of movies that make me cry--but I will watch MB over and over for the excellence of the story and the beauty that is Will Bryant.

The Mary Bryant series is currently sitting on my TV shelf, still in its shiny shrink-wrap.
I'm afraid to watch it.

for the beach, I mean.

I have to agree with you there, mwj. He's wearing way too much clothing
period...I mean, because it looks so hot and sunny there. I think he'd be much more comfortable without his shirt...
and maybe his pants.
And now all I can think about is why he's fully clothed on a beach in MB but in Whiteout he's running around Antartica in nothing but boots and a hat.
Thanks for dragging my mind into the gutter with the new pics, mwj.

Late to the party, in more ways than one.
Haven't seen MB, sounds like I need to,huh?
Is it something that Blockbuster would have in stock, or do I just bite the bullet and order it from Amazon, assuming they have it?
Amazing Alex, just transforms himself with each role.

I'd be amazed if you could find it in Blockbuster, to be honest. Worth trying though.

I bought mine from Amazon... along with Oyster Farmer. A friend said Netflix has it.
And
Pgal and
Lisa... ya gotta watch it. Alex is kick-ass in every way.
It's not that bad. It's a period drama about the founding of the penal colony in Oz... granted, this was not a pretty story at that point in time and the Bryants made... sacrifices. The whole colony suffered in various ways... and the voyage over was no picnic... as those kinds of voyages in those ships never were... and the ending isn't what we would have voted for, had we been given a vote. But Alex's performance is totally worth it, including the ending.
But
Phee says Aussie men have great booties cause of all the hard work... so think of it as developing the gene pool that produced Mr. O'Loughlin... and know that all our ancestors in the 18th century had lesser lives than our own... unless you are descended from royalty.
Watch it. YOu'll cry... but you'll like the story and you'll LOVE Will Bryant.
ETA: I see Lisa's plan for tomorrow... that is an example of how 18th century folks lived tougher lives than us...

I have heard only good things about MB and Alex's performance in it.
I saw Oyster Farmer and enjoyed it!
Not so much "Man Thing".

Yeah, you know a movie sucks when Alex is in it but even Moonlight fans don't like it....
