Good to know ladies
I probably should just check which banner I'm wearing before I post though.
Carol just saw your post and I actually think it's wonderful that some of us are discovering new appreciations for the couples we didn't root for before. Keeps things interesting.

ITA about the Mortal Cure scene
Red & mwj. That scene can be used in vids so many ways as it says so many different things about their relationship. There is comfort and friendship there. As you say
Red, he could have left her after he got what he wanted but he didn't.
The more vids I make and the more scenes I study in doing so, I see things I didn't see before and it changes my perspective on this couple. I think I could quite happily appreciate in both camps.
That is allowed, isn't it?
I hope its allowed because I seem to like anyone that Mick is with? Maybe I just like Mick too much.

I never liked The Ringer and FDL very much because I didn't like Coraline interrupting the MickBeth magic, but after watching the whole series and rewatching the episodes a thousand times I find they are now 2 of my favourite episodes. The scenes in the TMC with MickCora, especially when she was giving him the cure and the walk in the alley afterwards were really adorable - I could so see them as a couple. I wish we had of got more flashbacks on them in nice times - to see what Mick and Coraline the "in-love" couple were all about. All we got were the bad times. I also would have liked them to bring back Coraline in the 2nd season for a larger part. It could have made things very interesting for Mick and Beth.

Is it POSSIBLE to like Mick TOO MUCH??????
But I'm with you Marg... I think the MickCora relationship was fascinating in its history and complexity and would've made excellent episodes, if they'd focussed on it... The great crime of the Final Four eps was dropping Cora altogether. Mick would've NEVER dropped her altogether and left her to her fate. He never left ANYONE to their fate...
And they did make a cute couple... but Mick looks good with any accessory...

Yeah I totally agree Grace. Mick would have gone after Coraline if nothing but to make sure she was alright. I feel they both apologised for past behavior in TMC which allowed their relationship to move on. I feel when Coraline said to him "I took your life..let me give back what I can" she was saying sorry for everything. And after Mick rescued her from Lance and he brought up the "I also tried to burn you alive" comment - I took that as "I'm sorta sorry - lets call it even"

So after they finally resolved everything that had happened and moved forward I find it hard to believe he would just let her sacrifice herself for him and not give it another thought. I don't think her name was even mentioned in the last 4 episodes. Obviously Mick wouldn't bring her up with Beth but surely he would have gone to Josef to discuss what had happened to Coraline and if there was anything he could do.

ITA. That was so callous fo the writers to have Mick not do anything for Coraline, that was/is his wife, his sire and there is a bond there..no matter what happens between them.

But you know what's so sad about that pic?? The poor bridegroom never even got his trousers off! Poor Mick! Just never meant to get any nookie (from what we saw anyway). Cora couldn't even wait until....
after....to bestow this gift.

It's a cruel "no nookie" conspiracy against poor Mick! And us!

As calculating as Cora could be, she really did not time that well!

I'm sure she was kicking herself for that one!

Perhaps C was waiting for Vamp sex.....?

That can be the only explanation, Lucy. And after viewing the fight/make-out session in episode one, I can imagine how HOT vamp sex can be! Those two must have torn it up when they were together for 33 years!

Yeah, that was my explanation... As a vamp she would take the long view... so she missed out on the wedding night, but then got 33 rather... athletic...passionate... satisfying...years out of that decision. That particular payoff had to be worth the short-term sacrifice, yes???? And the fight scene in ep one is a hoot, isn't it??? Wish that had been juuuuuuuust a little bit longer...

Hey MickCora girls! just dropping off one of my fav pics...
Yes, I agree. Mick and Coraline's relationship was a long, intense, and a complicated relationship..
And, he would not, in good conscience, leave her to fate, to get hurt, or be in danger. That's not Mick.
She was his wife and I agree, they basically forgave each other... He cares about her...
The shower scene showed alot of 'forgiveness'..

Lucky's here!

Thanks for that gorgeous pic girl! Nope, sure doesn't look like either one is holding any kind of a grudge in that pic!

Why oh why did that have to be one of the few times Beth knocked at the door instead of barging in?

Now, had Beth
barged in, I'm not sure Cora is the one she'd've plunged the chair leg into...
And that might've been a scene worth seeing...

Just stopping by to stare at that pic again. *sigh* I love the sheer happiness on their faces and how their noses are pressed together...they can't get close enough! It's also telling I think of the chemistry and level of comfort Alex and Shannyn had with each other to pull that off and make it look so real.

Aw... and it's a homecoming... she's truly not dead... nor any longer undead, so double the fascination... but they were sweet together for that minute there before the knock on the door....
It WAS sheer joy on their faces,
Sister... loved that!
