Nah, they won't do a "we join the show already in progress" because it's sweeps season. They'll just start it a bit late. Hopefully not too late. Of course, it's going to mess up the ratings. But somebody will figure it out one way or the other. Last night's 10 p.m. CM got over 13.5 million viewers and that was about 4 million more viewers than the repeat which aired in its regular time slot of 9 p.m. The CM fans will follow this show and they will be watching. Plus all of us will be watching so the numbers should totally RAWK THE HOUSE!!!

I'm smelling a little CBS time shifting experiment ahead of the fall season. CBS played with its Tuesday night schedule this week by moving back NCIS and The Mentalist an hour each and last night they showed a new CM at 10 p.m. Both the Mentalist and CM performed very well in the 10 o'clock hour. I'm thinking they will sandwich in one of the new shows in the 9 p.m. hour between NCIS at 8 and The Mentalist at 10 p.m. I think TR would be a perfect fit at 9 p.m. Just think of all that Tuesday night hotness. A little Tony-Ziva heating up our screens at 8, hopefully a lot of Alex at 9 and then just to finish off the night the charming Simon Baker at 10 p.m. I think that would be the perfect slot. What do you think?

Luv you're thinking....but what would you do with the NCIS spin off with Chris O'Donnell that looks to be good to go?

I like Amy's idea!
If it goes this way, Tuesday will be the day to watch TV.
I don't care for neither NCIS nor the Mentalist but I know they have good size audiences, so it will be good for Alex (and us!)

I can see CBS pulling those two comedies off for that evening and going ahead with their dramas as is. Those two coledies aren't their strongest on the schedule, so I think it would less painful to take a hit on them than risk running CSI:NY into the 11PM hour. Those ratings would suck! And with sweeps....not a good option.

As for the CBS schedule shifts, I read on Marc Berman's site, that CBS is considering moving The Mentalist to 10PM after CSI:LV on Thursday next year. Not sure why then, but that's what's being considered.

Interesting....I had thought that maybe Three Rivers might get the 10 pm time slot for no other reason than perhaps tempt the ER fans who were used to seeing their show (on NBC) at that time.

I wouldn't put the two NCIS shows back to back. I'd put it on a different night. I think Sunday night would be the best night. I'd get rid of Cold Case and The Unit and put the new NCIS show against Desperate Housewives in the 9 p.m. hour. The 1-2 punch of LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell should take a big audience chunk away from Desperate Housewives. Afterwards, I'd put in the new Julianna Margulies show "The Good Wife" up against "Brothers and Sisters".

Actually, isn't it a child that throws him for a loop and makes him want to stop? I remember Simon Mirren saying that Alex had some great scenes with a child. I guess we'll see soon hey? :hyper:

That's what I thought too especially given the flashbacks to young Vincent. Six more days and we'll get our answers.

Drawing again here on professional experience, for a serial killer of this type, he's going to have to "connect" with the victim. Something from his past is going to resonate with the would-be-victim. It unlikely he made any type of familiar connection with his other victims. They don't want their kill "personalized". They rarely want to know their names or anything about their lives. They don't want to hear what they are taking away from this person, their prey, or their prey's loved ones. So I'm thinking at some point in the show, someone is going to "reach" Vincent. The Vincent before he started killing. A connection will be made, thus making it extremely difficult for Vincent to be impartial about the kill. But he knows he can't stop himself, thus his reaching out to the BAU for help. Just a theory. This is, after all, TV and anything can happen. :snicker:

/Susie wonders if she really really just bungled that thought up there :snicker: /

Okay, I just watched the promo again a few times. The clicking noise he makes before the knife blade comes out... does anyone else think he makes the same clicking noise when he is watching the tape he made? When he gives us the evil version of the Mick grin?

(BTW SusieQ, I like your psycho 101 class!)

The clicking is Vincent's release, when he's getting his mojo on so to speak and deriving satisfaction. :snicker: Its a sign of his excitement and he probably doesn't even realize he's doing it. Scary, huh? :eyes:

Definitely. Personally, if he's going to have a nervous habit, I'd rather it be the tongue slip. I'm just sayin'.

I think it does that a few times too, MLC. But thats pure Alex...we've seen that tongue too many times in too many roles for it not to be "just Alex". :snicker:
