ooh, does that mean actors from Three Rivers will be there or directors, writers? Or it's unknown? I might like to go. It's free but you need reservations, right? I could drive down from No. Cal.

All they say is "panels." But I'm pretty sure that at least some actors will be there. I expect that Alex will attend...he's the focus of their ad campaign, after all.
OMG, it just hit me that I may see Alex in person. :thud:

Time to start practicing my mantra: *Don't faint, don't squee, don't be idiotic...*

Yeah I'd think Alex would be there. Ooh, perhaps I should go over and make a reservation. Will you all wear pink carnations or hold up a sign "So Cal Freshies Here" so I can find you? I suppose there are no personal pics allowed at this event. I'm still angling for my personal photo -maybe some day. :hearts:

Just noticed two things from that article...one, that the Paley Three Rivers panel is Sept. 11, same day Whiteout (finally!) opens.

And two, I'm completely cracked up at the ad for Deadliest Catch that keeps popping up, both for the slogan--something like "Not bad for a bunch of guys with crabs," and the picture of the fellow holding 2 large, umm, ball-shaped objects in front of his...well, you get the idea. :giggle:

I voted for Three Rivers!

Netflix let me save Three Rivers, Season 1 into my queue. It's sitting there next to Whiteout and Truly, Madly, Deeply.

From TVFROM TV SQUAD

Still, we've watch these advance peeks and here are our thoughts -- bearing in mind that things are liable to change before the shows air.

Three Rivers (Sunday at 9:00PM ET)

Premise of the screener: Dr. Andy Yablonski is a dedicated doctor, the leader of the team of surgeons at Three Rivers Center for Transplant Medicine, a prestigious Pittsburgh hospital that specializes in transplants. Working against the clock to save patients, Three Rivers explores not only the doctor's trials, but the lives of organ donors and recipients of the organs, often dealing with questions of ethics and efficacy.

Allison says: Alex O'Loughlin is the centerpiece of Three Rivers, and if fans feel that CBS didn't come through for the star with Moonlight, the network has made every effort to give him a success with this new medical drama. The show is not edgy or caustic in the style of House or Nurse Jackie. Three Rivers is just the opposite. It's earnest and contemplative. It poses ethical questions about transplants, giving the viewpoints of those donating organs as well as those receiving the spare parts. While there's some mention of Dr. Andy's troubled home life in the screener (he's living in a motel instead of his house), the focus of the show is the hospital, the patients and the life or death race to get the transplants done. Considering the quality of this initial offering, as well as the prime Sunday time slot, Three Rivers will have a solid send-off and could very well be an early hit.

I haven't had time to follow this thread but I just want to chime in for a moment. Last night I was editing an episode of The Mentalist that was repeated the other night and I was fast forwarding through the commercials and some gremlin in my mind managed to see that in the blur of commercials a preview for Three Rivers and my finger was hitting the rewind so fast I couldn't believe it and I heard myself making these little whimpering noise at the thought that I might miss a clip of that gorgeous eye candy that is the lead. Damn he's so gorgeous.

I hate doctor shows. I'm one of the only people I know who doesn't watch House. I like the characters I'm just not crazy about the doctor part. Somehow I have a hunch I won't miss a minute of Three Rivers. It's going to be so nice to see Alex on the TV again....now if we could get the idiots in charge to do something about Jason I would really be a very happy camper.
