There was an article in the newspaper yesterday about eating disorders among marathoners and other endurance athletes. Seems they get obsessed with eliminating all fat so that the oxygen they breath is taken up by muscle not fat cells. AOL did come to mind. Getting caught up in the quest for maximum efficiency just sounds like him to me.
