I think our biggest problem is we need a blog from Alex telling us his feelings about the movie; we have been reduced to pure speculation and "wishful thinking." Not entirely off topic but wandering dangerously close to it!

I know what you mean, WF - a new blog would be lovely!!! In the meantime, let's try to keep this thread to discussion and speculation about "The Back-Up Plan".

Well, that would be nice, but at the moment, I think the best we can do is recognize that the role would be a good one for him, and hope the film is made and turns out well. It could be a stepping stone for him.

Further speculation at this point is...pointless. We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for the best.

This movie is a huge leap in his career. Putting him firmly in leading man status is what we have all been waiting for, and it will broaden his appeal so that future roles will be in abundance. I can't tell you how excited I am to see him getting the recognition he deserves.

Can't wait for the day where the man is so busy getting scripts thrown at him, that he can't decide which ones to accept.

(and lucky--have been meaning to tell you how gorgeous your banner is)

This is my attitude Lucky... it sounds great; but it DOES have to actually get made first... and we'll all see... and he will blog when he blogs... tho whenever he DOES want to blog, I am all over that... and SO in his corner.

But we're all so eager for him... the speculation and wishes and dreams for him are all meant in good humor and with his best in mind... we're a devoted group... if sometimes overly distracted by details... I think ya gotta love us for that... :hearts:

And let's face it, with the dearth of new info, pix, interviews, etc., speculating is all we can pretty much do until we hear from the man himself.

Though I can only imagine how time consuming negotiations and such for securing a film role must be. I am just thrilled that he is slated for "The Back Up Plan"---at least it gives us a bit more to ponder than his MySpace moods!! That's real progress!

Oh, and hey, of course we're all squeeing at the possibilities here.

And I know it's all in good fun, of course!

Continuing :offtopic: (terrible behaviour, I know  ), Lucky's notebook makes me ashamed. Mine have virtually no complete sentences - just random scrawl with the occasional coherent note or two. The product of an untidy mind...

Me, too, red. Such dignity Lucky gives her writing. (Mine is with pencil on notebook paper!)

BTW, talk about :offtopic:

Has there ever been a thread which addresses How Do You Write? (On what, with what, where?)

Cuz if not, that would be a cool one to start.

OK, running out before red catches me and :getclue:
