Ok, ew. I did not know about the predilection for teacher/student hook ups. And I too vote no.
Now, catching this late, as I was out the other night. It was fun to see, tho confusing as I wasn't keeping up w/it. BUT, for some reason I find it more surreal seeing JD as not-Josef than I find watching Alex as not-Mick. I dunno if it's cuz I've seen not-Mick more, or maybe if it's the hair, cuz not-Josef still looks just like Josef...
Anyone else?

For me, the tie to Josef was cut when Jason played the psychopath on Lie to Me. That guy was just so evil.

Hmm, well...not that I'm biased *coughobsessedcough* or anything, but I see little of Josef in Mr. C. Somehow, and I honestly don't know HOW he does it, as Josef, I believed he was this (at least outwardly) cold creature, with 400 years of wisdom and life behind him. Mr. Carpenter is also a bit world-weary, just in the brief time we've seen him, but there's no way I'd think he was 400. He just seems...like a young man working in a difficult environment. And while he does project teacherly authority, he doesn't radiate power, the way Josef did.
I will say, there's an even bigger disconnect for me, between Mr. C and Logan Echolls, or Martin Walker. "Martin" smiled too much, and it was empty in his eyes. Logan...Logan just screamed "damaged." Carpenter doesn't. He seems genuine and warm, much more like Jason in person.

Just one small question, because I have been in that thread before, but I don't remember... I have the first episode of Ringer in my hands, was Jason in the series from the beginning?

Maggatha, he doesn't appear till episode 6. But I would definitely recommend that you watch the 5 episodes leading up to it, so that you will know what is going on.

Love this show!! And thanks for the JD screencaps! Aren't there any SMG fans here? Or Ioan Gruffudd's fans?

I did read in some article that Sarah wants Bridget to kiss Agent Machado and the writers were trying to figure out a way to do that. Why she wants that? I don't know.
I was figuring the voice on the phone was the guy who took care of the attacker's body from the loft and wanted the attacker's cell phone.
Spoiler:
At the beginning of every ep, in the part where they recap the previous ep, there's always a scene of Siobhan on the phone with the voice saying "We've got a problem. Bridget is still alive." Do you suppose Siobhan is evil enough to want to kill her twin so she can come back later to reclaim her old life?
The actor Billy Miller who plays Charlie did say in an interview that his character isn't nice. But I never connected him to be the mysterious guy on the phone.
that picture is just
I love it when Jason goes all wacky!
As for the casting news, I think this is gonna be good.

He REALLY needs to stop taking himself quite so seriously, doesn't he?

New episode on tonight:
1.07 - Oh Gawd, There's Two of Them?
THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE - Still posing as Siobhan, Bridget (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is forced to reveal she has a twin to Andrew (Ioan Gruffudd) and Henry (Kristoffer Polaha) when Agent Machado (Nestor Carbonell) starts closing in. Henry becomes a suspect in the whereabouts of his wife, Gemma (Tara Summers) and Juliet (Zoey Deutch) starts partying to dangerous extremes. Meanwhile, Malcolm (Mike Colter) escapes and is on the run from his kidnappers. Eric LaSalle directed the episode written by Pam Veasey.
There's no mention of Mr. Carpenter in any synopsis I've seen for the episode and Jason isn't listed in the cast list on IMDb for this one (although IMDb does tend to be out of date until after an episode airs), so I'm not expecting to see him this week.

It sounds like they're moving the storyline on a lot in this episode, though... so in the meantime, we can hang on as we get whipped through the twists and turns of this thrill-ride of a show. And maybe next week Jason will get a nice, juicy story to play with.
