On the partial cast list from the call sheet, the main cast is:

Alex O'Loughlin as Andy
Kate Moennig as Miranda
Daniel Henney as David Leone (he's marked as supporting)
Christopher Hanke as Ryan (also supporting)
Justina Machado as Pam
BJ Britt as Anton
Dave Whalen as Russ

So Katherine is indeed Miranda... Maybe Miranda won't be Dr. Andy's love interest. Is there a Meridith character?

The people who wrote her Wiki site didn't even know which team she bats for.

Does that make a difference, ODM? Lesbians/gays have played heterosexual roles before and visa versa. Not sure that's relevant.

Julia Ormond wasn't listed yet but she's the head surgeon. Once they added her name, she'll be on top of Alex.

No, I guess, it doesn't. I sort of pictured someone romantic like Beth (Sophia).

This is just a pilot... he may not have a love interest in the pilot. And since he is supposedly just separated, they may wait awhile until they give give him one.

And romantic is in the eye of the beholder. Recall that Alex himself viewed Sophia in a sisterly way... just sayin'.

Er, okay. Well, Alex himself said this is about as far from Moonlight as you could possibly imagine so...

And SirenSong is absolutely correct - I fail to see what Katherine Moennig's sexuality has to do with anything nor why it warrants mentioning. I just hope she's good.

As for cast listings, my understanding is that Julia Ormond is the hospital's chief administrator, rather than chief surgeon, and the seniority of that position in comparison to other cast members doesn't necessarily mean she will have top billing. I would imagine that depends on how large a role she has.

I agree Red...

I would also think, just like WITH Moonlight or any other show, if this sucker gets a pick up, it will organically develop to a certain extent. The actors/characters to whom the audience gravitates will get more time and attention.

I don't worry on Alex's behalf on that particular score.

I just want to watch him walk away from the camera...down the hospital hall...with that unique knee kick-out gait he has. Yep...that'd be really cool. :hearts:

I gotta ask...is that the way he normally walks? I thought he was affecting that walk for his characterization of Mick....

I kind of assumed it would be a show similar to ER in that there was a large cast with lots of faces and one episode would focus more on one of the characters and then it would change the next week but they would all be a part of the show. The fact that Alex is a chief surgeon in it will give him a lot of air time I would think

IT's a good question, but I think that's his walk. In Oyster Farmer he walks that way, as well as The Shield.

I noted his walk on another site and the poster, do not recall who, responded to me and said people have their own walk and it is one of the hardest parts of a person to change and/or disguise.

I have no idea if this person was right, but it's interesting...
