Interesting to watch the body language during the interview....

In the beginning, when he's rattling off the boilerplate about 3R, what it's about, who he plays, the stuff he's answered already in a hundred different interviews, he's not making eye contact with either the interviewer or the camera. He's looking everywhere else. He's bored.

But when he gets to the questions that truly interest him (the fact that organ transplantation actually works), then he gets excited and into the interview. He relaxes and lets a little more of himself peek through. Loved the analogy with organ transplantation being like changing carburetors in a car...truly a guy thing. Chuckled at the part about 'you can take it all, if it still works'.

I grew up around politicians and can be cynical at times. I know when I'm being snowed and a part of me expects any comments an actor makes about the wonderfulness of his fans as being the requisite stroking actors provide to keep their fans happy. Yet I didn't see that. Alex's appreciation of his fans, his enthusiasm about his role, about his craft as an actor are genuine.

At the end of the day, he may be just another bloke, at least in his eyes. Yet when he looks in the mirror, he can honestly say that he gave it his all.

Cool interview.

He wants to be able to actually DO the surgery... :snicker:
I LOVE the way he says "carburetor"... :happysigh:
And could he LOOK any more beautiful?? :melts:

And I think one of his "Bro" friends needs to set him up on a date... tho it IS probably harder to get a girlfriend now... now he has to wonder if they like HIM or the star... ya know?

I gotta think some of this is coincidence. Michael and Beth are fairly common names and did any of these writers actually watch ML? Besides, apparently some of the guest stars have been from L Word and Jericho... but none from ML... if they really wanted to pay tribute, they could hire Jason for a spot.
Spoiler:
I would be delighted to see Michael AND Rena back again... and in the same ep! Yeah, pretty much an Andy nightmare... she IS a cop after all.
And now Andy is into him for some cashola. I love that. THAT"S drama.
Talk about a small world, I just figured this out....the actor who played "Uncle Mike" (William Sadler) was in 'August Rush', as Lyla's father, August's grandfather.

As red said earlier, the actress who played Mandy Patinkin's daughter last week, Jamie Anne Allman, was in 'The Shield', but before Alex was on the show.

So maybe, dear grace, there's still hope to see more familiar faces show up.

A couple of other things about this episode (not that I've been re-watching or anything  ).

The dancing doctor, "That was epic, dude." :giggle: So nice to have some carefree dialogue.

And the scene where Kuol got listed for transplant made me tear up. I blubbed a bit at the end of last week's episode, even though I felt a little manipulated into it. Here, however, it just felt right. Touching and light and true. Lovely.

But still, the two scenes between Andy and Mike were amazingly powerful. More swooning...

I'll plead guilty to watching it again and agree, the more carefree dialogue was refreshing. Like the relationship between Andy and Miranda - they're colleagues, they're friends and she's beginning to wonder what's going on with him. Little sister worrying about big brother?

As for the scenes between Mike and Andy (or Andrew, as it were), I loved how Alex had Andy sort of shift back and forth from the 'amazing Dr. Yablonsky' to a man who's worried his past is catching up with him and could embarrass him or get him into trouble. The shifting in the facial expressions were superb, with just a hint of menace visible on Andy's face. When he leaves the bar at the end of the show, he turns one way, then another, like a man who doesn't know which way to go.

And Kuol - love him. Somehow, I think starbucksjunkie should be getting royalties......

Wow! You beat me to it. Well, I loved this interview. Esp the last part where he talks about the fans. What a true sweetheart. It almost seemed like he was kinda choked up. He def deserves a big smooch on the lips. :smooch:

Last night's ep was good. I really loved the bar scene and the fact that Kuol finally got listed was a delight. I'm really hoping he'll get that heart. He and Dr. Andy are great friends. You can tell they clicked when they first met.

Now remember guys that next Sunday, 3R won't be shown. A movie will be shown at 9pm. :mdrama: Also, if you noticed, they didn't show any scenes for the next episode either. So, I don't know it they'll show a rerun in 2 weeks or what.
