Tho if they kill Alex in the end I'm gonna be a mess... but I doubt I'll be the only one... I need to look into whether or not they sell the eps on Itunes... I don't want to have to buy the DVD of this series... I just want the one ep... when it finally airs.
I was thinking the same thing Sister! I think I'll be rather anxious about his character's fate. It's gonna be good though! We're protective of our guy, aren't we?

During the fight scenes in FEED, even though he was a psycho killer, I wanted to scream
Leave him alone! :lol:Sadly, I've looked around a bit and haven't been able to find the entire episodes available anywhere, including the CBS site. Hmpf! I did find one site that posts preview clips so I'll be visiting that sucker several times daily!
mwj01, I was big fan of CM when it first came out, and you can not find full episodes of this anywhere. I can not understand why CBS does not show this series on their web site, it is a top 20 show. A few years ago, it put this show on after the Super Bowl, and you could not find that episode anywhere after that.
Because they are....CBS!!!!!!! And they do whatever they want to... and still stay number 1. Sigh. Tivo it is then...

Hmmmm. For those of us who have never seen it, debating whether we should watch CM before Alex's debut, to get a feel for the show, or just wait till he's on so that there is a noticeable surge in ratings.

you might want to catch an episode or two...it's a bit intense and has an ensemble cast, each with their own issues. That way you'll know the premise before Alex's episode, especially if they're going to change the normal presentation.

No, Carol, we can't play anything recorded from NTSC here. But don't you worry about me - I know precisely where and how I will be able to watch
Anyone who needs any help tracking down episodes online, please feel free to PM me.

Thanks dsr and raven.
I do want to be at least familiar with the concept and the regular cast, so that I am not playing catch-up while trying to watch Alex!

Yes, I to recommand watching the show a few times before Alex is on. The heart of the show for me was Mandy Patinkin, I think the show took a hit when he left, but the stories are still very intense. This show is no Moonlight, warm and fuzzy it isn't. The show is very graphic and some of the story lines can cause nightmares, but I am sure it is pretty true to real life.

CM is always on at my house when I get home from work so I see the second half of every show. I don't think it's as bad this season as it has been before. I really hate the shows that have women stalked, kidnaped, imprisoned, abused, humiliated and killed. This show has done a lot of this in the past and I have put my foot down about no one in the house watching reruns of it. Now, of course, that goes out the window.
Damn that man and his eternal hotness! I actually had the troops changing the channel when they heard my key in the lock.

nayp and jmc,
ITA. I loved Mandy Patankin, but I also couldn't handle what was becoming a steady stream of overly graphic crimes against women. Not that I'm espousing censorship here, but those types of crime were becoming way too prevalent in the series.

You have definitely made this series sound intriguing.
I can handle fairly graphic. I am a huge fan of Dexter, after all. Though, at his core, he is a good guy...kinda.

If you can believe it, I have never watched one second of any CSI. Ever.
I must be some sort of freak!

FWIW, I don't think Criminal Minds is any worse than any other crime procedurals out there. I mean they made SVU, which is basically crimes against children, so anything after that is less confronting in my book.
Unfortunately if you are going to make a show about serial killers, crimes against women are going to figure heavily. The ep I saw the other night had women being disembowelled and kept alive for hours after that, but when you saw photos of the victims they still had their clothes on, so it wasn't too graphic to see, but to hear about it was another thing. Nasty stuff. And generally I keep my procedural viewing to a minimum because I'm not that fond of it.
For the person who asked, Aussies can't see CBS streamed vids either. Some things on YT and other sites are write protected as well, so the illegal option is all that's available to us. I don't lose any sleep over it.
On the subject of Alex's stint as a serial killer; I did wonder (I have a fertile imagination

) if perhaps he's NOT a serial killer at all, but posing as one. Seeing as the episode is supposed to be seen from his perspective (which is unusual for CM) I wondered if perhaps the audience is going to be led to believe he's the killer, but find out at the end that he's actually a FBI agent luring a killer into the open. Cue the Criminal Minds spin-off headed up by none other than our Al.
Pretty good huh?

I'll say. Pretty good indeed. A smokescreen for the audience, and Alex gets to look the baddie without being the baddie!!

I wondered the same thing--only because it would be a perfect set-up for his own show, if they decided to go that route.
