I actually really like every one of the leads, so I'm looking forward to this movie. Why the heck they took so long to release it is beyond me....but I'm gonna go watch it.

I'm of the same opinion, Alle. This movie has become more appealing to me the more I've seen of it so I'm not going purely to see Alex anymore although he is the biggest draw for me.

I can't remember the last time I bothered to go and see a movie on opening night....

Grumble, Grumble. My local theater isn't showing it and they showed the trailer It's in a yucky neighborhood that I don't want to be in at 10:30 at night or see if I can bail out of work early and see it at a theater close to work.

I won't know until Friday if Whiteout will be shown locally, but if it is, I know what I'll be watching that afternoon or evening.

It does make you wonder if perhaps they waited until Alex's star had risen a bit more before releasing it? How many of you out there would be going to see this movie if Alex wasn't involved? More bums on seats means more dosh for them, so perhaps they bided their time to cash in, while Alex's fame brewed. Who really knows though?

You're right, we'll probably never know. But for the record, the only reason I'm going is because Alex is in it.

Did I hear right? We first meet Alex's character when he's running across the ice naked?
