I was thinking about the finch thing too. It's a little odd, isn't it?

However, I remembered how jerky Mick was when he was vamped out. Very quick head turns, funny head angles and such. I could see that being very birdlike. Why a finch more than other birds? Maybe he just had finches around his house at some point and stared at them for awhile.

Now that you mention it, the head motion was birdlike....whatever works, I guess.

:rolling: :rolling: fantastic.

I absolutely can see the birdlike motions Mick has. I thought they really suited the Vampire stuff. All birds are predators, no matter what their size.

That mannerism was a brilliant touch on Alex's part. I loved those little jerky head movements, and if I thought of them as "velociraptor-like" rather than "birdlike," it's mainly because velociraptors have birdlike movements too. I guess I can just relate to velociraptors better. Birds have such different faces from humans. At least velociraptors have noses and mouths instead of beaks...

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd... I've taken us off-topic again.

Here's a blatant bribe:

Thanks Lupine for the link. It just showed me again why I think so much of Alex, especially when he says stuff like this:
I have a wonderful fan base, and I have a group of people across the planet who are forever supportive and loving in watching my every move and are there for me in whatever way I need them,” he said.

"And it means so much to me, because that show, you have to understand, meant the world to me. ... I poured my heart into it, and then it goes away and there’s nothing you can do. But the magical thing about that show is that it went away, but it never really went away because so many people loved it.”

It's so nice to know we mean so much to him and believe me Alex, we know that you poured your heart into Moonlight. It was crystal clear in every frame, that's why we love it so....

FWIW, I remember an interview where Alex said he tried to incorporate birdlike characteristics into his vampire impersonation. I thought it was odd at the time because I never saw vampires as birdlike, but it was very obvious in the way he accosted the professor in NSTAV, although less so in future episodes I thought. So, no he sure wasn't messing with the journalist; he meant it.

I just want to say thanks to,o ladies, for all your contributions about the show etc., I'm off to see it in a couple of hours, and I've loved reading your take on it all (not to mention all the hilarity surrounding various fan comments, interviews etc.,) ;)
