Is his thumb stuck in that position after all that signing? :rolling: For some reason I got this mental image of Beth trying to pry Mick's hands off the stake in Dr. Feelgood. :snicker: Poor guy, that is A LOT of signing. :comfort: Good on them to do it, though, as I'm sure that's extremely tedious.

And I loved the valentine's hearts. That is so adorable. Ryan seems like a riot. I would LOATHE and DETEST his character in real life (seriously), so it's a testament to the actors (both Jason and Ryan) and writers that they make these characters actually kinda likable on the show.

With the additional UK and European theaters,it seems that the VM movie has built up a momentum and level of anticipation few thought possible, even Rob. Here's hoping that it does a smashing business :fingerscrossed:

I just finished season 2, and loved how the various story lines played out. I really, really feel sorry for Weevil, though, and Lamb is nothing but a heartless dolt. I do have one question, though.

After Aaron Echols and Kendall Casablancas had there little jailhouse chat, Kendall went back to Logan's place and seemed to put something down the shower drain. Any idea what it was and what it's purpose was?

You know, I remember that but I don't recall that it went anywhere.

I think I thought it was a bug so they could hear what was being said.

Sounds reasonable...maybe it was idea that they decided not to pursue.

I found the Entertainment Weekly with Kristen and Jason!

I might have bought, oh, five copies. It's a bit of a blur...

I'm spending a few days in Boston. So what did I do my first day here? I went to the AMC Boston Common theater to see if they had the Veronica Mars poster up...

I shared this on Twitter and Rob Thomas almost instantly retweeted it. :teeth: http://t.co/yUZs5xlgf2

It may be one of the first in-theater posters posted. :woohoo:

Dude! You are one of the coolest kids on the block.

(And I remember we saw an early "Back Up Plan" poster in Boston, too!)

Interview with Rob. He does hint at the end of the movie non-specifically but some people may want to skip the last question.

An article about the movie is in today's Wall Street Journal business section. It was discussing how the movie is going to be released in major theaters and online at the same time.

I saw that...

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303636404579397322240026950?mg=reno64-wsj&url=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB10001424052702303636404579397322240026950.html

and was a little puzzled about it. Seems as though you'd want to have people go to the theater and get as much as you can from that venue, then distribute via VOD (video on demand) or DVD. It seems though that what they're doing for VM isn't unique, but not done often.

I'm still hoping the take for VM exceeds everybody's wildest expectations!! :fingerscrossed:

I think, for one thing, that they're expecting that many of the backers getting video will also want to see it on the big screen. As far as the other means of distribution, perhaps they're banking on pre-release publicity to generate interest?

That's the other weird part - the advertising (or lack thereof)
Advertising is being done entirely online and in AMC theaters, with no traditional television spots or billboards. Given the movie's modest budget, Warner says it is counting only on the existing "Veronica Mars" fan base to attend.
Since Veronica Mars was a TV show, I would think tossing a few bucks toward TV advertising wouldn't hurt.
