Speaking of Jen Aniston, there was a review in our paper about her new movie with Gerard Butler (The Bounty Hunter), which is also a romcom. The reviewer tried to be kind, but found that the best he could say about the movie was it was 'easy on the eyes'. He felt he was watching Butler and Aniston as movie stars, not the characters they were supposed to be playing....he did comment, though, that at least half the audience seemed to enjoy it as Butler 'had his shirt off' for a lot of the movie. :snicker:

Wonder if the reviewer is related to a certain network exec :snicker:

Somehow, I think that BUP has a lot going for it beyond the typical romcom (although I may just be a teensy bit biased)
Some friends of ours invited us to go see The Bounty Hunter with them tonight.

Notice that I am here.

And look to my avi for inspiration on loooooooooow riding Alex pants.

Sisterhood has it's privileges.

You chose wisely, methinks.....as for your avi, which is competing with VasusieQ's for pulchritudinous distraction, I'm not sure what my hubby would think if he saw that!!!

You writers with the writerly big words. Please don't make me go to dictionary.com again. 'K? I've heard of pulchritude, but forget the meaning. Enlighten me.
Please.

Or just talk some more about his low pants (which is what he wears in BUP), cuz that works for me, too.

It means beautiful (pulcher is latin for beauty).

That he is....sorry, Fleur, but every once in a while four years of taking Latin has to be put to use. :snicker:

This is a bit off-topic, so I'll keep it brief. There was some discussion upthread about romcoms and box office success, well The Bounty Hunter, as suspected from its hideously bad trailer, is turning out to be a bit of a turkey.

Its overall Metacritic score (a combination of all reviews) is 25/100: Metacritic - The Bounty Hunter and the relentless promotion and high profile stars have not equalled good box office either: Deadline Hollywood article - "How Embarrassing".

Saw the movie "Remember Me" with my very best friend in the whole world, (would that be: vbfitww??) who is a fellow Alex fan. We were beyond excited to see the BUP preview before our movie aired. First time I have ever seen that man's face on the big screen. OMG. As good as he looks on television and various websites, he looks AHMAZING on that big screen. Women are going to go insane when they see him. Some actors looks don't transition well to movie screens. So not Alex's problem! And it's not just his looks that struck me, his incredible mixture of charm and sweetness just radiated from that screen. And his crooked smile. And those lashes. Sigh.

GA---if you are listening, after the BUP clip, Eclipse followed. Talk about a heart stopping pair of trailers!

This may have been previously posted (as the video selection was put together in August) but I hadn't seen it. Stan and Zoe are number 5:

Cool, and I had not seen it before... tho HOW did Jen Aniston and Jason Bateman come in at #4 when the narrator herself admits the kiss was "lackluster"? That made no sense...

:quill: :hankie: Posters on the NYC Subway changed today and I saw one of Back Up Plan. When I got to my station to take a picture it was already ripped so badly it was useless
