You give a show a B- before you see less than 5 mins of an episode, and your highest grad a B, NCIS get's a C, jmc for me uncross your fingers,  if this is Entertainment Weekly, they can be brutal to TV and movies.

I refuse to get upset or worried. Not yet, at least...
For now, I am so happy with the new show and the publicity and the new Alex pictures :hearts:

I thought he was harsh, too. I feel better if they've got a reputation for being that way to everyone. I'm just really sensitive where AOL and JD are concerned, I guess.

This is all surreal for me. My husband is a surgeon and I see him wearing (and I launder) scrubs all the time. As a 33 yr veteran in the medical field myself, I am comfortable with all the jargon and issues involved in the upcoming show. And I have a number of friends as well as patients who have undergone transplants, both successful and not. I feel as though Alex (Dr. Andy) is going to be having dinner at my house, discussing his cases after the episode airs. Weird, huh?

That being said, I am so so so happy for "our" Alex. I always said that I could someday say, "I remember when Alex was just ..." I truly believe that I will be able to watch him get that Oscar, or Emmy or ???

Raising a glass (belatedly) of wine to us all!

Same here, Lynn. My dad was a cardiovascular surgeon and I can't tell you how many calls day and night we got looking for him. I volunteered at the hospital for 3 years also and learned a lot. But that was years ago--in the olden days :rose: . Very comfortable with the talk.

I give up trying to bring stuff over---we are at a distinct disadvantage on the west coast. By the time we get up, you east coasters are 3 hours ahead of us and have everything already! :rofl2: :rofl2:

Not complaining. Instead of checking my Google Alerts I will just come to the boards and read--it is all there.

The fact that they are ALREADY promoting TR is a great sign that they want this to succeed. You know, I have read some people's comments on the blogs dissing Alex. They say stupid stuff like Alex is that loser from the show TWILIGHT ( :eek2: ) or he doesn't know how to act and only his fangirls like him. But from their general statements it is so obvious that they never watched anything he did. No wonder Alex once said that he read the blogs and some comments hurt so he doesn't do that much any more. You guys remember that interview? I have never forgotten it.

Well, don't worry Alex. Some people just want to be nasty just to be nasty. You have enough people who love you now and more to come---you don't need to worry about idiots out there.Your "fangirls" are here for you! :groupwave: :groupwave:

Ooh, it is, Sharon--thank you. Thanks to everyone who's tracked stuff down from 3R. This is so lovely--a plethora of wonderfulness. It almost makes up for all those months of no wonderfulness at all... :hearts:

If this has been mentioned, please pardon. I haven't had a chance to read all the posts here. I have a question: Are they letting Alex use his Aussie accent in this show? The YouTube clip sounded as if he is. :confused2:

Woll, he has an American accent on the show. In the promo, he's speaking (as Alex) about the show, but when he's Andy he has no Aussie accent.

Thanks, Alle. I could have sworn it sounded like his Aussie accent in the preview.

Thank the gods for that. (Alex ... I adore you, mate ... but you just rock that sexy American accent.)

From this article (this actually made me laugh out loud):
Will the women who write fan fiction about Alex O'Loughlin's "Moonlight" character worship him as steadfastly now that he has shorter hair? My guess is they will, judging by the somewhat insane enthusiasm for him I've seen all over the Internet.
Oh sweet Bob in heaven...
