I have to admit I don't like Alex with the Mohawk at all. Not sure why he is so anxious to cut his hair as soon as filming is over, but it is certainly his body and he can do with it whatever he pleases.

But I have to admit - and don't throw any fruit - that Mohawk is really a total turn-off to me even with Alex's good looks. To me his hair has never looked better than he did as Mick.

Only exception was the gorgeous photo where he looked like a Greek God - part of a TV Guide show from a number of years ago. I think in the Sexiest Man issue. Absolutely gorgeous.

I think this is exactly the point.

Alex has no intention of trying to please right now. He is free. For now. Of Show. Of his issue. He is reclaiming himself and goofing around and, clearly, after an experience where he knew he was being judged, saying he don't care.

He's comfortable again. And he's got balls. I think he's reminding of us that too...

As I recall, Alex cuts his hair and stops shaving pretty quickly, when he finishes any project. So I don't associate his goofy haircut with anything specific to this year. To me, it's just his natural, wonderful, quirky soul, doing whatever it wants for awhile, instead of what everyone else wants. Hair is a wonderful form of self-expression, and it's perfect for an actor because it grows so fast. To me it's like he's taking off an uncomfortable suit and throwing his tie across the room and putting on his comfiest, scruffiest, baggiest clothes and just relaxing. And yay for him that he can!

Yeah, that's how I see it, Alle. I remember when ML didn't get renewed and he cut off his hair before he went to Mexico.

Amazing the details I can remember about this man!

Not for nothing, I'm happy that we are debating the merits of his new 'do. Isn't it nice to return to talking about the mundane regarding him?

Whew! I just caught up with 10 pages of Alex gorgeousness and then:

- A shock like that's almost enough to cause a retina to detach. It's whiplash for the eyes and I just love him for it. It's like his beloved cardigan, the flowery shoes, his turned back cuffs, maybe the green shoes (a stylist might have had something to do with them) - I hope he never takes himself too seriously.
And I'm really scared to think about what he'll do to top this next summer!!

You'll get no argument from me, maggatha. I am so pleased to see him looking so healthy and just unfgh again. His eyes. Oh, how his eyes are back! I missed that sleepy, kinda sexy gaze and there it is.

As long as he never does a Trump-style combover, I'm fine with his hair choices----bc look at his face. Doesn't even matter what's framing it.
