I can sympathize. When I saw Alex at ComicCon in NY I couldn't even get up to ask a question. I was positive that when it would be my turn I'd freeze up and make a total a$$ of myself. I never got that close to him though. I think I would have expired on the spot.

I'm going to add my number to the goatee lovers. It suits him. Before Alex I was never a fan of tats or goatees. He's changed me in so many ways.

Red~~Congrats to you for getting to see 'the man' in person. I can only imagine how thrilled you are and how fortunate for him that he got to be in the presence of someone who has been a huge fan and supporter of his from day one. I am so, so happy for you that you got to experience meeting Alex in the flesh!

Oh yeah, he looked fabulous with the goatee. Let's face it, the man does NOT have a bad look. E-ver. Ever, ever, never. Infinity.

I just read a JLo interview, she was being feted for some style icon award thingy, and they asked her if she had any regrets regarding past fashion choices. The only one she mentioned? The ridiculously high, bouffanty hairdo she sported a few years ago at the Oscars, I believe.
Seems that she has a short memory!

Pooor Jennifer, she should've remembered that interview. See what I meant about the hair? She's got a sort of Amy Winehouse thing going there, and it's not working for her...nor is the dress, unfortunately. But her shoes were lovely.

Not a clue about the hair....that is soooo 60s.No disrespect intended, whoever styled it didn't do a very good job.....JLo's hair is too long to wear like that. The 'hive' on top of her head is too high for someone her height and build. In short, it's disproportional. It's too bad, because the dress is stunning on her.

Does anybody know the significance of the two guys in the upper right hand corner of the first JLo picture? - they're wearing really bushy wigs and fake mustaches

Oh, those shoes. To die for. I somehow got discombobultated (whew, that was tiring typing that out) and scrolled from the bottom up on her, and stayed on the shoes for a bit. Now those look like something that I could rock, and get much use out of. I know that she wore Ferragamo's to the premiere in the US--any idea whose these were? I don't see the tell-tale red sole, so that rules out C. L.

And I went as Amy Winehouse for Halloween (classy chick that I am, and yeah, I carried a vodka bottle) and I swear her 'do looked taller than mine.

Oh honey, I looked like a train wreck, which means I did Amy proud! (fake tats, fake cig--which glowed, I thought that was sooo cool, etc)

At least JLo's hair isn't as snarled as Amy's. So, she's got that goin' for her, I guess. I suppose JLo was just going for that high fashion look--she is stunning no matter what, but the hair? Man, I wonder if they had to give airspace clearance to it. Snookie is so jealous right now. That must have taken about 35 bump-its.

Wow, great account of your close encounter Red - wonderful to read! And your pics are wonderfully clear too. Thanks so much for that. It makes up for all the pics I saw at AOLP of the horrid z grade 'celebs' (and I use the term loosely) who were in attendance at the premiere .

Had a MAJOR flashback because that Haagen-Dazs is the exact one I ate at back when I went to London the first time in 2003. *squeeeeeee*

The two guys with the wigs and moutaches were dressed as the 118118 duo - they're well-known from an advertising campaign here. It has no connection to the movie at all - so whether they were just passing by, I have no idea, or decided to come in fancy dress.

The girls in purple were part of a whole load (about 10) - they were all dressed the same and all looked pretty similar - involved in some promotional thing, presumably for one of the sponsors. I didn't see precisely what it was.
