It really is a striking piece and as I said I never noticed it watching the show. What's funny is I made a comment about being oblivious before I went to his site then when I checked it out he has a painting title Oblivion. Which has butterflies sprinkled through it which has very personal meaning to me.

That's wild

For those interested: I just heard from Alex and the proposed size of a print would be approximately 20x30" or slightly smaller.

That's a very workable size for small walls.

Lilly this is all fascinating. The painting is stunning. Thank you for sharing the artists thoughts with us all :thanks:

I've emailed Alex also about an interest in the print :)

He said that to make it the same as the original (30x40), it would have to cost upwards of $400, which would be prohibitive for most people. This just seems more do-able.

I just shot off an e-mail to Alex and told him I'm definitely interested. I wonder how many have to say their interested before he'll consider it worth his while?

I just emailed him too. I also figured that size would make the price more doable.

I'm e-mailing him first thing tomorrow morning about it. That size will be a good size to have it in!

Gads Susie,
I was riding the the cart with you and never noticed that you were bleeding?!? I'm so sorry. It was all a little overwhelming. Sad, touching and overwhelming all at the same time.

Josef's table, the one that he and Beth sat down and talked at was huge too!

You didn't hear Stumpy belly-aching that I was getting blood all over her jeans?! :giggle: My sock was soaked with blood by the end of the tour. But like I said, I consider it a badge of honor and when I looked down at that little scar, I always remember Mick's freezer and the fun I had with all my Moonlight friends! :ghug:

Hey, all --

I heard from Alex -- as of late last night, he's received about 7 or 8 emails expressing interest in the print. It looks encouraging, but we'd like spread the word even more. Is there anyone who is a member at MLF who might be willing to bring this info over there? Any other forums?

Also, Alex may be stopping by our little forum here to have a look around in the next couple of days.
