wpgrace wrote:So my fear continues to be that CBS is USING 3R to negotiate down Jerry Bruckheimer... as in make your show cheaper or we're going with 3R... so is this irrational??? Or is this a possibility??

And Suz... I've just gotten home from a church dinner... but I'm now going for the wine!!!! :sigh:
They may even be pitting them against each other to see who can lower their costs the best or whatever! Dog eat dog world! :blecch:

So I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who feels the need to wash my mouth out with soap after saying the words "mid-season replacement" *shiver*

My best guess is that they will hold back a couple of shows as mid season replacements. It looks as if U.S. Attorney is headed in that direction.

The other 3 networks ordered a bunch of new shows. Both Fox and NBC have no scripted shows at the 10 o'clock hour (Fox goes to news and NBC is scheduling Jay Leno Monday through Friday). So a lot of their shows are going to be held back until mid season as well. It's just the way the networks do business.

Okay...I'm starting to feel like I can breathe again. This article from the Hollywood Reporter is saying that it looks like both Three Rivers AND Miami Trauma will be given the green light.

This is his day off, isn't it?
I hope he is getting some rest. Or maybe he already knows.
Last year, he didn't find out until one day before the upfronts.

I don't think this one has been posted yet.

And :wtf: does this mean?
CBS' formal pickup calls are expected to be made today .
That they will be announcing it tonight, or that they will reach a decision tonight?

I got that Google Alert also but didn't notice that comment! Good detective work, Kelly!

AND good question! Are they RIGHT NOW informing their shows about pick up/no pick up?

That is what it sounds like. I think Alex knew a couple of days before the upfronts last year; we didn't until the day before. :fingerscrossed:

I think they won't announce anything until they have informed the shows involved. I bet tomorrow we know more----

Meanwhile, CBS is going drama-heavy again in its new series picks. The Eye, which unveils its lineup on Wednesday, gave the OK on Saturday for staffing to begin on three hot drama prospects: Julianna Margulies starrer "The Good Wife"; "Three Rivers," toplined by "Moonlight" alum Alex O'Loughlin; Medical drama 'Miami Trauma'; and the "NCIS" spinoff with LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell.

Who taught these freakin' people to add, anyway?! I count 4 dramas.... :wtf:
