Wow -- as topsy-turvy as all the action seemed, it made perfect sense to find out it was a dream in the end. I often have dreams (not nightmares, thank goodness) that are snippets of conversations and actions that I've had that day or recently, and somehow they tie themselves to one another and create the strangest of dreams. I totally blanked on the idea of the dream "symbolizing Mick's vampirism taking away Beth's ability to have a child." I just thought she was sticking Mick's presence into a hazy but familiar scenario -- her own. It also fits that Beth did seem to work out her demons through dreams. I too would love to hear this birthday dinner conversation between Mick and Beth.

Oh!!Oh!!I cannot believe my own eyes!! What a story!! I was holding my breath throughout it and wanted to scream at a very specific point...

A look of total resignation overtook him. “It’s OK, I understand.” He looked down at the little bundle he held cradled in his arms flashed her a sad smile. “Here, catch.” As he made the toss he fell from the precipice.

“MICK!” she shrieked. “NO!” She grabbed the tiny bundle in mid air and ran towards the ledge, but he was gone. “Nooooo! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,” she sobbed over and over.

It was here,NM, and it never for a moment occured to me this could be a dream!!
