These location threads are some of the coolest resources in Moonlight fandom, I think. And I agree with Lucky--the work that Lilly put into them is amazing, and we're so lucky that she's not only a great detective, but she likes to do this sort of thing!

And Lucky, thank you so much for the screencap and video link to the ad. It's so fun to see the locations pop up elsewhere!

Oh, I just LOVE finding ML connections! And I like that view of the Four Aces, because it shows how the motel, gas station, and diner fit together. I've always thought it was so clever, that the way it was filmed in ML, you'd never know that the motel was there, or later, that the gas station/diner were connected to the abandoned motel!

I agree. Honestly, one could assume that it was built to be a filming location, since the parts of it are so cleverly separated by the way it is shaped. I spent a few hours there once, tramping around looking for perfect camera angles with a couple of fellow fans, and it was really fun. (Only a Moonlight fan would find that fun, I think.)

Even seeing the location used for somthing else I still get all worm and fuzzy.

no it wasn't, but maybe the tub was ....I don't know silly me I didn't see the "tub." I didn't know I was looking at "The Room" at the time. It was so diferant in wall color I just blindly snaped a pic as I walked by. There was someones sutcace on the bed so I thought the room was ocupied. It actuly felt like I was snooping about a real Motel.

Actually, Kath, you didn't miss much. I'm positive that I've read something authoritative saying that they shot the interior of the motel room somewhere else. I'll try to find the information...

Now that my consciousness has been raised to look for this in commercials, I think the diner portion is in another current commercial. It's for Geico motorcycle insurance with the rider covered in money.
