for
Grace.
The thing I've always found the biggest challenge is plot - character pieces like this were my starting point and they continue to be the thing I enjoy most, mainly because I love thinking about Mick.

When someone else has done all the hard work and created such a magnificent character, he just begs to be thought about. Repeatedly...

You know you have a really good story when it just won't let go and you worry about it long after you read it.
Poor Mick! I hope some kind vampire finds him--who just happened to be carrying a supply of bottled fresh in his red Ferrari or a really, really bad guy finds him and pulls that stake out (if it is the latter, he's going to meet two things--first a very, very thirsty vampire and second, the Great Beyond--in that order).

Thanks, jen - it makes my day to see this (my very first ML fic) pop up on active topics.

Red, I've read this somewhere before, but re-reading it now brings the same *shivers* I remember getting the first time around. I know there's no hope for a rescue sequel, so I will just tag along with Grace & Crew and we'll go rescue him ourselves.
Still good as ever, Red.

Moonlighter, I'm not surprised you've read this before. It was my very first ML fic (I still remember the abject terror when I posted it) so it's been up at MLL and VLF and now here. It's always such a thrill for me to see it being re-read. Thank you.

Thanks, honey. No matter how many stories I've written subsequently, this is still very, very special to me.
