What we DON'T know is if and how his plans changed with the cancellation of TR. Given all this activity about what part he might take, I gotta believe he's back but hanging low because he can't say anything. Remember last year that he was very close lipped about what might be going on professionally.

Although as someone else said, it would be nice to know. (Like we have any right to know anything...)

Oh, I agree about NBC network people. But the thing is that NBC needs five hours of programming NOW. I can see getting a shot there where CBS just has a few spaces.

Good point about the scarcity of space at CBS. The other problem there is whatever opens up (Sunday night, Friday night) aren't the best nights for a new show. Whatever he ends up in, I just hope that the lead in show is strong and of a similar type. NCIS LA following NCIS didn't hurt the ratings of either show.

If he comes back.

If he ends up in a new show.

If it's on network TV.

You ARE trying to poke me, aren't you, darlin'??? :gasp:

It worked. I am ascared again. Tho cable does not seem such a bad choice to me... there ARE great shows on cable.
But it's true... who knows what he wants to do? Or what he'll get offered. Bless his adorable heart; I hope he gets whatever it is he does want.
And soooo selfishly... I hope HE wants to do what I want to see.

Grace, I'm one of those who would be happy to see him in a good show on cable. I think there are better roles, more creativity and fewer restrictions. I have no idea if that means 'better' career-wise - I guess it depends what kind of career Alex wants AND what's on offer to him.

I'm not trying to poke you, honest. :tomato: I'm just fretting over the complete information vacuum at the moment. (Although I agree totally with r1015bill - we have no entitlement to know anything. Just a verrrrrrrry strong desire.)

We're all impatient, dear red, and the sounds of silence don't help. Hopefully, the silence is due to all the legal wrangling that goes on in the background before someone is signed to a role. Maybe in a week or two we'll hear something.

and darling grace, I agree - I hope he gets what he wants, but I, too, hope it's what I'd like to see

When I think about the shows that I make an effort to see, all but one is on a cable network. And the network one is Chuck which just about didn't make it into another season.

Cable is where good drama is happening now.

This is true. Some of the best and most original programming right now is on channels like TNT and USA. Alex could do worse than landing a role on a cable network show.

Where most of the shows I watch are aired... it is true.
I'm cool with cable... unless Comcast starts yanking channels again... :grumble:

Maybe he's hanging out in that man-cave at the motorcycle shop...

Anybody have a bike they need customized and could just happen to drop by? :snicker:

Oh, my goodness... I'm scared to death of motorcycles (my big brother almost died in a bike accident when I was little, and I've never gotten over it), but there is something soooooooooooooooo sexy about a good-looking guy on a good-looking bike... :melts: :melts: :melts: :melts: :melts:

r1015bill wrote "Like we have any right to know anything." We're talking de jure as opposed to de facto here. We have no written contract with AOL to be informed of his plans but, here we are; loyal, steadfast and devoted. Alex has always praised his "fans" and expressed his gratitude to them (us). He is probably very anxious about his next move, network tv being so obsessed with the bottom line and looking for instant gratification/ratings. He will "talk" to us as soon as he has some news. I believe he is as loyal to us as we are to him.
