I read yesterday that Obama "requested" the prime time slot. The networks have been pretty vocal lately about how much they hate the interruptions because they lose major ad dollars any time it happens. And considering this is in sweeps, I'm sure that they're gritting their teeth once again as they cave. I'm waiting for the day when some major network "declines to aquiesce to the request".
And THAT is the other part that concerns me---first, the speech, then the commentary; then the rebuttal by the Republicans; then commentary on the rebuttal---wpgrace wrote:.. but hopefully they won't waste a lot of time with rebuttals and analyses once the Prez is thru...
