Sorry for being a bit dim...but could someone explain what happens to the film if the kickstart money isn't raised?

I know if Kickstart doesn't hit it's target, they don't get any of the cash that has been pledged...but what happens to the film if that happens? Does it mean it's put on a shelf somewhere and forgotten about?

I don't have a definite answer, JKsGirl. An awful lot has already been invested in this film. My best guess is that if they don't meet the Kickstarter goal, they'll have to pursue other options to raise the needed money. Of course, that would mean starting from scratch in terms of the $10,000. At the very least, it would certainly mean delays in producing a finished product. Depending on how much they are able to raise through other avenues, it could result in a final product that falls short of their original vision. Whether or not that's something they'd be willing to live with, I just can't say.

I'm searching the couch cushions with Lucky. I will tell you I have supported other projects on Kickstarter and the other two were funded within the last 24 hours.

I think when something winds up on the Ending Soon page of Kickstarter if it looks like it has a chance to make funding more people start to donate. I often did that on a site to raise funding for classroom projects called Donors Choose.
