I wish they'd dialled down the ick factor just a little, focused more on Michael and Deidre's relationship and, frankly, got a better actor as Phil (sorry, but I thought he was poor).
I'd file this under fascinating failure. But Alex rocked.

He does dark and twisted exceptionally well.PNWgal wrote:Oh. Hell. Yes.allegrita wrote:Oh my gawwwwwwd. Alex is freakin' brilliant. Horrifyingly brilliant.
THIS is why I'll be an Alex fan for life - because he's simply a brilliant actor. He's beautiful, yes...but damn, he's SUCH a talented actor.

Oh Phil totally sucked... does he even act anymore?

And once again shallow, but the boys they found to play Michael young were SO beautiful--and perfectly like young Alexes!! I was amazed.

Strangely, Phil was Jack Thompson's son, Patrick. Looking at his imdb, he hasn't done much lately.redwinter101 wrote:I wish they'd dialled down the ick factor just a little, focused more on Michael and Deidre's relationship and, frankly, got a better actor as Phil (sorry, but I thought he was poor).

He did suck. Doesn't look like he's done all that much acting. Started as a child - you'd think he'd be better. I didn't care for the woman who plays Michael's wife either. But Alex and Gabby Millgate (Deirdra) were very good.wpgrace wrote:redwinter101 wrote:I wish they'd dialled down the ick factor just a little, focused more on Michael and Deidre's relationship and, frankly, got a better actor as Phil (sorry, but I thought he was poor).

Patrick Thompson might not be able to act but according to IMDB, it was Alex and Patrick that came up with the plot.

I thought I'd add this reference for those who like trivia about movies. Some of it was mentioned as we were going through.

It talks about a lot of deleted scenes. I'm pretty sure some of them are out on youtube.
