There is something else you might do. I didn't post this here earlier because I wasn't sure it was appropriate but wpgrace's comment is awfully close...
I stole this directly from Deb at LLOL (who added to her post to keep it positive and focused on donation).
Go to the below link and click Tenaya's name to send an email.
http://donatelife-organdonation.blogspo ... pulls.html
From Donate Life Hollywood: I think it would be meaningful to Alex and to CBS to hear from the Donate Life community. CBS extended an unprecedented partnership to Donate Life and we have benefited tremendously from that partnership. You can forward me your thoughts and notes via email and I will package them together for Alex, CBS, and the Three Rivers writers.
Very sincerely,
Tenaya Wallace
Campaign Director, Donate Life Hollywood
Communications Specialist, OneLegacy
(Edited to add that other ML sites believe that Tenaya is one of the blonde women Alex is posing with in pictures of the Alex Band party)

Thanks for the information, ladies. I think this has been posted earlier in the thread so there was no need to "steal" it from anywhere. Either way, a link to Donate Life and any of their official activities is always welcome.
If you are ever unsure about whether or not something is suitable to post on the site, please remember to contact a member of the mod/admin team, who will be only too happy to advise.

You know, I wasn't going to get attached to this show and I sort of did anyway. And today, the night Three Rivers should be airing, I'm so very disappointed it got yanked.
Thanks, Red, for the lovely pictures of our Alex. I'm quite partial to the first one myself...

Oh
Red... the pics are lovely! And I got attached to Andy early and often, I'm afraid. He really is beautiful....inside and out... just like the actor who played him.

I do think this is a direct result of the way the show was marketed...it was pushed as "the Alex show" when it clearly was written to be an ensemble cast. And we all commented that they needed to make Dr. Andy less of a saint than he appeared at first...naturally, just as that was beginning to develop, poof! it's cancelled.
Is is unfair to blame Alex, and his talent, for the way TR played out in the ratings? Personally, I think it is unfair. There were a lot of factors here, just as there were with Moonlight. Not the same factors, perhaps, but nonetheless, the failure of a tv show is rarely squarely on the shoulders of one person.

Wow, CBS screwed up again (not bashing, either- the proof is in the pudding). What a shame. IMO Alex needs a more action oriented series to show off his talents. TR was maybe too precious and it makes me wonder what other choices he was offered.
Yes, it's clear CBS was grooming him. It's good they have that kind of belief in him. It makes me wonder what real choice he had, in the end.
I wonder what was so attractive about "Highway to Heaven" because TR reminded me of it. That, or that angel show.
If they are gonna bash anyone (and no, I haven't read the comments), then bash CBS for the choices they made. I consider TR a misfire in the Alex oeuvre. It's not something, I'm guessing, he had that much control over. And he certainly had no control over how it all was presented and what the results were. To blame him for the show's demise is childishly vengeful, making him a convenient scapegoat. Not cool.

You took the words right out of my mouth...and said them much more eloquently than I would have. No, I haven't read the comments, and I won't. Yes, once again I blame CBS. TR was mishandled from the beginning and probably should never have been developed in the first place. But since they insisted on having a medical show, then why didn't they just do it right?

I am a bad, bad fangirl.
Only found out today that 3Rivers was yanked. Part of that was denial---it wasn't on last week, and wasn't on this week's schedule, so, I knew something had to be up and didn't want to face it.
Poor PGal had to break the news to me. And then listen to me rant.
Of which I will not repeat here. I am sure that all I am feeling is pretty much the same as what everyone has posted. So, I'll just say that I am saddened for our remarkable guy, yet continue to be hopeful for him. With that talent, personality, and yeah, I guess his looks are kinda okay--he will be fine.

Have you been spying on me? Busy and distracted would be 2 perfect words to describe me lately!! Happy would have been another one, then 3 Rivers got the boot. For some reason, it just brought up ML-related issues!! Instead of being upset about 3R I find myself utterly pissed once again about the travesty inflicted on ML. Argh. Said I wasn't gonna rant........

I was fortunate to be able to watch TR tonight. It's still an On Demand feature on my cable TV. I watched the one about the gymnast needing a new liver and had to get it from her bio dad from her mother's affair. I cried in the same place as the other times I watched it, when the bio father expressed his fears and said he had his own family. Lots of nice shots of Andy.
