This Guardian blog is a view of all the upfronts and new shows, including Three Rivers:

I have no idea if Three Rivers will end up being aired here; even though I'll watch online somewhere if it isn't, it would be great to see Alex's profile grow in the UK.

We all would like that too... for his sake, but mostly for y'all's who live over there...

Thanks for the link
Red. Like you I'll find a way to watch online if it isn't but it would be lovely to see a show of his actually air in the UK again.

James Hibberd's view (from The Hollywood Reporter) of how Three Rivers might fare vs. Desperate Housewives:
http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/05/top-fall ... edium.html
Sundays at 9 p.m.: “Desperate Housewives” vs. “Three Rivers”: What could possibly lure female viewers away from ABC’s top-rated soap? CBS has an idea: Ex-“Moonlight” star Alex O’Loughlin. Predictions: ABC will win here, but CBS could make a bigger “Housewives” dent with “Rivers” than with “Cold Case” this season.

^ Cold Case was doing around 10M if Three Rivers can get 12/13M that would be great, i don't expect it to beat DH either at least not the first few weeks but if the show is actually good then yeah i don't see why not with that cast.

It will certainly be interesting (and nailbiting

) to see how this all plays out.

Does anyone know the trajectory of DH's numbers over the past few years? Have they been gaining, losing or holding steady as far as viewers are concerned? I still gotta think that given the chance, most women would prefer to watch Alex than the botoxed Wisteria Lane ladies. Then again, that's what dvr's are for, and that really should be taken into consideration.

2 seasons ago, Desperate Housewives' viewership ranged from 15.4 million to 20.7 million. This past season, at least for the last half of the season, they were ranging from 12.3 million to 14.7 million. So that's a big drop off. Where theye are still strong though is in the demo. They're still pulling in demos in the 8's and 9's. So while they've lost 3 to 6 million viewers, those that they are keeping are from the precious right age group.

Exerpt:
At the CBS lot, another 400 buyers appeared collectively upbeat about CBS Studios International's offerings as they milled over lunch al fresco outside the Paramount screening rooms. The Julianna Margulies-starring legal drama "The Good Wife," medical scripter "Three Rivers" and "NCIS" spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles" garnered generous critiques from a diverse group of buyers.
Sounds promising....

Will report that as I was at my parents over the weekend, they tend ot have CBS on quite a bit...and I saw numerous brief ads for TR. Even during golf coverage. They're also pushing the new NCIS, but I notice that every TR ad features You-Know-Who prominently, in those tight scrubs.

And how are they pronouncing his name, may I ask?
I have yet to see an ad... but I guess I don't watch much CBS...

I never watch CBS either, grace, so I haven't seen one ad. I am surprised that they are airing ads so far in advance--that's gotta be a good sign. Is that normal for networks to air ads that far in advance of the fall season?
It seems that the only time I watch CBS is to see ads for Alex! Whether it was when ML was on, or his appearance on CM. Looks like I will be braving that channel to see 3R ads now. Are they airing predominately in the evening, or is anyone noticing them on during the day?

I actually saw the TR add a couple times last night; very brief but ends with that sweet smile
I also saw a combo add for the four new dramas. Promotion is good!

Looks like I will be suffering through the soap operas again to catch a glimpse of Alex.
Woe is me.
