Just in defense of Channel Ten...They're not really the sort of Network that just pulls a show off the air on a whim, and I know they've kept other shows on the air despite initial bad ratings in Australia, to give them a fair enough go. I have a feeling this is more of a 'temporarily shelved' situation rather than outright axed. They might be waiting to see what happens in the U.S with the show, before they decide to air anymore episodes.

Thanks for that perspective, Em. I hope you're right. It did seem awfully premature.

Yeah I have to admit, I was pretty stunned when I heard the news. I would have expected it from Channel 9, but Channel 10 have a pretty good reputation when it comes to promotion, and giving shows a decent go. I'm not sure, but I think Burn Notice was one of the shows they kept around despite intial poor ratings...kept promoting it, kept it on air, eventually ended up with a hit on their hands. Unless they've got new suits in the office, Channel 10 just yanking a show off the air without a damn good reason seems very out of character to me.

Of course the possibility is that they do have new suits in the office and things have changed. Who knows. In the meantime, all I can say is...thank god for the internet

Yes, if it keeps going in the states :fingerscrossed: , I'm sure they will put it back on during the summer non-ratings period.

Its ironic that the week TR gets yanked in Oz by channel 10, channel 9 have finally put the final 8 episodes of ML back on. We could have had 2 nights of Alex on Aussie TV after such a long drought, but not to be.

This drives me crazy. I'm on CBS anyway because I watch Amazing Race but I hate these late starts.

I don't care who wins, just will somebody score so that this game ends soon!!! My guess is that we're going to be a full hour late tonight..... :Mickangel:

Will the game stop as soon as somebody scores? Or will they actually play out the extra 15 (which really means at least 30) minutes?

I think it ends as soon as someone scores. If no one scores (shudder) I don't know what happens

In NFL OT, it's sudden death....whoever scores first wins. If nobody scores, then the game ends as a tie. Right now, the Jets are not quite in field goal range.

Overtime in football is "sudden death" which means that the game is over when somebody scores.

ETA: You beat me to it, and GAH!!! The stinking Jets did a fieldgoal fake and the freaking ball was intercepted by the Bills!!!!!!
