Oh good Lord have mercy... I don't know if it's 'cos he's home but he seems so relaxed. And The Voice :melts: :melts: :melts:

Thanks never-too-much-of Grace. :smooch:

His answer to the question about fame is so sad. I'm sure it's true, but how sad. :sigh:

I remember reading in the online chat Alex did when TR premiered that one of Alex's favorite movies was "In the Name of the Father" which I then rented. It's pretty intense.

Here's his actual answer:

Alex O'Loughlin: MC2B-
That is an unanswerable question. There are so many incredible films but some of the films in my top 10 are IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, GODFATHER II, WITHNAIL & I, ON THE WATERFRONT.

EDITED TO ADD INFO ON THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW.

thanks, r1015bill. Knowing the movies he finds 'incredible' helps me understand him a bit more on a professional level.

This is such a great interview, thanks to mizzoh for the transcript and to r1015bill for bringing it here.
He talks more about private things when he's in Australia, might be partly because in the US the journalists don't ask about this (they ask him more about JLo...) or because he's more open when at home.

So did he fly immediately over to Sydney from London, or was this photoshoot on any Sunday before that? If it's the former, he's sure getting some miles. And no rest on Sunday.

We got a little more info on how his life before the US was. So he was with the mother of his kid for quite some time, and raised his son. I can understand that when the relationship split he saw it as a chance to try something new. It's endearing to hear that he doubted it because he had to leave his son behind. He sure didn't have the money to visit him in that first gruesome year.

He has a level head on his shoulders and his priorities straight. I admire him for that and for his talent.

I really don't know, Grace - it seemed pretty good to me, based on the expected drop from the opening week (especially if you compare it to the aptly-named Losers).

But yes - back to the theatre forthwith!!!
