He is one of those talented few who can do anything, and do it well. And he looks good no matter what he's doing!

Pants are short! All the better to see his pretty feet.

And actually, from a practical standpoint, it's probably a good thing to have shorter pants legs, so you don't run the risk of getting your toes caught in the hems. Seriously!

And, since this is a picture thread...

Oh fleur! There's so much I love in that photo you posted ^..I could begin now and end writing...some time tomorrow! I'd better call you!

I always wonder if that vest irritates Alex. He seems to pull at the neck of it a lot when he's wearing one.

The Holy Mantra
Below is the Holy Mantra of Avalokiteshvara written in Tibetan saying Om Mani Padme Hum.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's definition of the Holy Mantra is "By the practice of a path which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha".

Woooo! Thank you Pam--and Kath for passing on the word! I figured it was something traditional. But that was some good detective work.

That's awesome...and VERY uplifting.

It doesn't surprise me that Alex has embraced the spirit of it. He is a soul that strives for perfection in lots of ways.

Given this:

The middle part of the mantra, maṇipadme, is often interpreted as "jewel in the lotus"....

Where Alex had the mantra tattooed is just so perfect and gorgeous.
