OK! I just have to write a few intelligent words about Alex's blog because the excitemnet last night took the best of me.
I love the fact that he finds the time to share his news with his fans. I kind of feel privileged to be an Alex fan
He sounds positive, full of energy and optimism. He knows he has the unconditional love and support of his fans and loves it. Speaking of symbiotic relationship
As far as TR fansite, I am not sure I am ready for it. But you never know.... This from someone who had never joined any sites before ML came along. I didn't even know how to post a message LOL!
GO ALEX

It does seem that he posts updates when most of us are off-line. I am willing to sacrifice my computer time if it means he will blog more!
As for a 3R site--I haven't even begun to think that far ahead. Though, if there are pix there--you can bet your sweet a*s I will be heading over to view!

Those were my thoughts exactly! I'm not all that sure about getting too involved, but I
will be scoping-out pics!

Oh hell yes, we will be scoping out pix. And then posting them here--as long as it is allowable under copyright laws. If so, it will be a race to see who posts first!

Hmmm... 3R fansite would also feature those OTHER actors... so I dunno....
But if you pic posters bring Alex pics here... I don't need the other site...

Agree! Agree! Agree! He's special and he takes time to make
us feel special. I keep thinking this can't get any better and yet it does.
ML is in my heart forever and this pesky thing called RL keeps interfering with my computer time so I don't see how TR sites can fit in. But I never would have thought that I'd be here so who knows?

Frankly, for my taste, TR is becoming too cumbersome with players. It's growing like topsy and I imagine his screen time shrinking and shrinking. I can't imagine I will want to talk about the show, just Alex's role in it cause I'm his fan. MLA suits me just fine for that, because we all have a ML/'Alex as Mick' history together.
Re: bolded. I think you're onto something there,
jmc. He's maintaining a connection with us who initially were heart connected to him through Mick. That's quite a feat. And it's genuine. Otherwise I may have drifted away in time. But with the ML connection and his generous, thoughtful and very decent character, it's become more than a Mick crush. He has stored up enough good will from me for a lifetime and I think of him fondly.

That's kinda sweet,
lafluffy... I don't know if I will LOVE 3R, but I'll watch it for Alex... but yeah, I am his fan because of Mick and I do like sharing him with you all in particular... my Alex buddies AND my Mick buddies.

lafluffy, Grace, I'm with you. I fell (hard) for Mick St. John - and because of him, will always have a soft spot for Alex and wish him the incredible success he deserves. As for Three Rivers, I hope it's good, and I hope it leads onto other amazing things in Alex's future. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and cheer him on all the way.

Lafluffy, got to agree, that TR when it first came out seemed to be all about Alex, now more and more stars are being added. As much as we may hate that, that does seem to be the norm for today's shows. The popular shows do seem to have a cast of players, like CSI's, NCIS, Lost, Greys, and even ER . At least for me, even these shows, always have an actor that seem to outshine or stand out from the others. We fans of ML and Alex, already know what he can do to a charater he plays.

Yeah... as we've already agreed... he will never get the screen time and loving camera shots that he got as Mick in Moonlight. Moonlight was all about Mick and the other characters were only there in terms of their relationships with Mick. That was wonderful, but it is also rare. And glory, Mick was so endlessly fascinating... how many fictional characters are really THAT interesting?
The good thing about him maybe not being quite so constantly busy with 3R may be that he could also do movies. I am dying to see him in more movies. As the lead in movies I mean.

For me, the love affair started with Mick but now I feel I will be an Alex fan for life.
Btw, our Raven started a thread on MLF sometime last year "Why I am an Alex fan". And folks poured their hearts out, such a wonderful collection of responses. I truly recommend it.
And no matter who else will be in TR, we know that when Alex appears on the screen "magic will erupt"

It happened with House. It's happened with The Mentalist. It's happened with Castle. It's happened with Dollhouse. It's clear in these who is the central character and who is the lead.
