God, I love this picture of Alex. This is clearly another photo from the Sexiest Sci-Fi Guy shoot. Could the man BE any hotter?

It really warms my heart to read that Simon thinks so highly of Alex's talent. I'm just on cloud nine with all this Alex love going around. I'm seriously loving these TVGuide people...and I wish Alex could get this kind of publicity in Oz. He is sadly underappreciated here. But I'm getting a feeling that next year is going to be HIS year. :hearts:

Actually, we don't know if it's still in the movie. We can hope... I certainly am hoping. But just because TV Guide said it's there doesn't make it so... :sigh:

But I'm still hoping. ;)

Yeah, cause it looks like TVG got the info FROM Alex... and he may have just talked about the scene as one he shot... he may not have seen the edited movie...

But Bob knows we all want it in there... if it IS ever released... :fingerscrossed:

And of course there's that saying about no such thing as bad publicity... so even if not in the movie, the concept is out there now...

surely they know that naked icy Alex butt will be good for warm clothed butts in seats. I'm sure that can be proven scientifically.

If he's running across the ice like that, trust me, the ice is no longer there--it's a bubbling spring as soon as his hot feet touch the ground!

This article is GREAT! Interesting that TVGuide would have a 2 page spread about a guest star! And as for Simon's comments about the rest of the cast watching Alex on the monitor, we already know that he is the best kept secret in Hollywood!

The surgeon, Dr. Gonzalo “Gonzo” Gonzalez-Stawinski, is at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and is highly respected in his field. He's a young guy, too, who, according to his bio, likes to surf, play baseball and spend time with his family. I can totally see him and Alex getting along. Wish I were a fly on the wall in that surgical suite!

Nice article!
The TVGuide folks love our Alex :hearts:
Good publicity about the CM guest appearance (probably the most anticipated guest star!), the new show (I sure hope they know something more about it) and Whiteout (I want that scene to be included).
I like the part about his fans!
And this is the first time Alex confirms the separation from his ex.... (but still it was not four years, lol)

:cheer:

I'm wondering if we won't be getting this one until the following week. I usually get the TVGuide a few days before the week starts. Since Alex's guest starring role in Criminal Minds is on April 29th, maybe we won't get that issue of TVGuide with him in it until the weekend before his episode airs. Any thoughts?

It is a double issue: April 20-May 3. That is why he is in it now!
That explains it then! Thanks, Lucia and sirensong! I should get mine by Friday. I can't wait! :rofl2:

I really like the way he referred to our devotion to Mick... that he'd never had fans fall so in love with a character before... I think that's kinda true for most of us too... we've never fallen before...

And interesting the way he put the Holly thing... a time out... so maybe they will come together again... which would be nice for them...

Gotta love TVG... I hope they sell a ton...

Hot? Did someone say Hot (Micks)??? :snicker: Yes, I think we nailed the "hot" thing right away. I remember the first few weeks after Moonlight debuted, running around the office blathering on about the "hot guy" on that new show... and all my friends wondering if I'd finally cracked up.

Yes, we fell for Mick, but we stay for Alex :giggle:

And I believe the fact that many, many of us have said "we've never fallen before" is the thing that CBS and others pick up on ... he has that 'it' factor. I think I like this article so much because it's the first one I've seen that really puts the emphasis on his talent. It positions him as a "breakout" star (and not just a "hot guy"). And the fact that they dug up that photo (it was so hard to find, in that frame on the editor's desk :snicker: ) is like the cherry on top (bite your tongue, Fleur). How did they ever decide not to publish this photo the first time around?

And yes, Grace, I feel so much empathy for Alex and Holly... having split with my S.O. last year, it's so hard and confusing to know if it's the right decision. There's so much invested and such deep feelings that I'm still conflicted about it. So I wish them both peace of mind and happiness, whether it's together or not. I never quite got the intense feelings against her... she seems to have her head on pretty straight (and I loved her as Lola). And really, it's none of our business anyway, so I probably should get off the :soap: now.

Finally, I do have to say that I too was glad to see him mention Moonlight fans in a nice way, given everything that's happened, and I found it curious the article mentioned the cigars (Susie!) ... I guess his reps do keep up on the fan boards.
