I'm late to the party (as usual) but in honor of Alex finally being back on our screens and the fact that I aced my presentation on him despite totally putting my foot in my mouth during the Q&A (I somehow said 'tramp stamp' and that I liked Oyster Farmer because Alex lost his clothes, which resulted in the prof telling me to sit down, lol...hey, it was all I knew how to say in spanish!), I figured I'd share a few HD caps from last night.

First I'd like to offer a short ode to his talented tongue since it made so many great appearances last night

It is impossible for that man to look bad, or even semi-good, or even a little less beautiful.

When I saw this scene, I sooooo knew you were going to capture this one...

That second to last pic, MLM, was the only time throughout the whole episode where I thought that Vincent looked like Alex. For some reason, in that second, with that stern look, it felt different.

Ha, you know me well, mwj. I was so excited I almost fell out of my chair.

I totally agree, SS. That was the one look where I could see Alex and Mick. It just had that level of intensity.

Wonderful caps, mlm - I love the intensity of the mirror stare.

Congrats on your presentation. Would you be a complete doll and post the Alex pics that made your final selection? I'd love to see them.

ALex has a thing with his tongue i noticed in The Shield and August Rush he often stick his tongue out. Or maybe it's just that i notice that because i want to

So, to ME... when I watched CM, I did NOT think that Vincent looked terribly like the Alex that we know... he moved so differently that I was totally focussed on him as VINCENT...

BUT, looking at MLM's caps... in still form, he DOES look just like Alex. Clearly ALex... and yes with some of Alex's most familiar expressions and mannerisms.

But MOVING... he looked much different.

Did anybody else have that reaction????

Yes. Most definitely. He completely inhabited that role. I immediately noticed his movements--so hesitant and awkward. His voice was even different--so much softer in tone And he soooo did not have the Mick walk going on. But yeah. the still photos do show Alex shining through. And I would be embarassed to tell you how much I squeed when I saw the tongue make an appearance, but I am among friends here, so, no shame!

Oh, a few of us have noticed that Jade. That sucker just does not want to stay in his mouth! It's definitely an Alex-ism, like his expressive eyebrows. But yeah, his tongue thing is .

I know what you both mean. Vincent was the farthest thing from Mick, and in motion he wasn't even Alex. He was Vincent. In stills, when the body language isn't so much in play, I can definitely see Alex... but not at all in the moving images.

Sigh. I just wished that we paid a little more attention to that man!!!

I think it is THE COOLEST thing that he can move in such a different way that he doesn't look like himself! That he so allows the character inside himself that he even moves like an Other.

And I also think it's cool that, in the stills, he DOES look like himself... otherwise I would have some worry about body snatchers and all...

Oops! Tat peekage! I really don't see Vincent as a tat kinda guy! Hadn't noticed it until after several viewings...admittedly my eyes were elsewhere, perhaps hoping the towel would fall to the floor. I really had to look at something other than the bread plugs.
