really wanted a story about Lance and Mick, so we tossed some ideas around.

I would never have tackled Lance - so to speak - without Grace's encouragement.

Tackling Lance usually is not recommended... regard the outcome when Mick tried.
But
Phee's deft handling of the prickly, aristocratic ancient allowed us both to come out unscathed. Mick still didn't fare so well.

Our boy is awfully good at not seeing what he doesn't want to see, till he gets his nose rubbed in it. But I love him anyway.
