Back for a re-read from Coffee House, Red.
Fluff? You think this is fluff? Pfft. Darling girl, I don't think you could write 'fluff' if you tried. Every story you write is imbued with the most delicate threads of complexity, this one no less than every other.

Oh, francis.
I've said it before, but it always bears repeating - I'm keeping you.
Luxe, I just spend waaaaaaaay too much time thinking about Mick.

Oh wow, Red. Here I come, late again. I need to visit this Coffee House -- maybe I will be on time to read these beautiful pieces.
I can't say anything more complimentary than what's been said, other than to add that after I read the title (on a nudge from comments in The Quality of Mercy) I remember being on a quiet street with overhead powerlines, and hearing the distinctive, constant hum of the electricity flowing through them. This put me right back there in that moment as I could feel Mick's hum of life throughout the whole piece. And you can evoke those feelings with the best of them, Red! As a die-hard MickBeth shipper, I just adored this and anytime Mick's happy, I'm happy.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful world to lose myself in!
for Red!

Moonlighter.
I'm so happy to see you, sweetie - thanks for reading and the lovely comment. Imagine what those power lines would feel/sound like with vamp senses - that was definitely what I was trying to get across here.

Can't believe I missed this one when it was first posted!
If I'm too busy to fit a new Redwinter story into my day....then obviously I need to rethink my priorities!
I think I like this story most because it says so much about Mick's state of mind at that moment. Because it's only in the moments when we are most content and secure that we can objectively look at the whole of our life and put it all in perspective. Happy Mick makes me happy.
Beautiful, poetic, deep

Happy Mick makes me happy too, Ranger (despite the amount of time I spend conjuring up various miseries for the poor guy).
