Red, these last two are gorgeous. The two pieces work very well as a set--her view of him, and his point of view reaching out to her.

"Sight" really speaks to me-- he can never see what he truly is, can he? But Beth does. She sees, and she knows who he really is. And eventually, maybe, she'll help him see those things, too.

"Hearing" is wonderful in a different way--Mick going back into memory, his thoughts swirling in response to the music. And somehow, through the music and the memories, he finds a way to begin to talk to Beth about the things that really matter.

Just lovely.

Hearing is just beautiful, Red.

I've been missing my fic lately and this is a gorgeous read to start me on my way again. As such a Mick & Beth fan, I adore the way you portray them. I love that you have Beth see him so completely and the way Mick always responds to her and opens up to her. I'm just as big a sucker for these two as you are, Red.

Oh my goodness, Red. Your Senses drabbles have my senses reeling! Each one is expressed so succinctly that there is no question about the authenticity of the sense you are describing. I am thanking God right now for my sense of sight that I am able to read these lovely little bits!

She saw the man.
She saw the vampire.

At his questioning frown, she gripped tighter, urging him to believe.

“I see you, Mick St. John.”

This one in particular blows me away. Beth sees him and given her determined nature, she will get him to see what she sees soon enough. There is no doubt.

Red, honestly, if I weren't sitting down already, I would need to take a seat after reading these. You are good, lady. Anyone ever tell you that?? LOL!!
