I came back for a reread too. This is an enchanting story and perfect for this time of year. It is definitely one of my favorite Moonlight Christmas stories. Thank you DSR.

Thanks, Kara He didn't fully realize it at the time he saved Beth, but indeed, this little girl was his own salvation.

This one I always reread when it pops up... even at this time of year! And I still have to wipe a tear or two.

The simple gift of a child, given with love and gratitude touched Mick's heart so. Throughout the years when he watched over Beth, I expect there were moments like this, and then a long time when he was all but forgotten.

Then would come in evening at a frozen fountain at 2 a.m....

Christmas through a child's eyes is always so special.

This story could just melt the thickest Christmas snow!!

It's certainly a tradition for me to read this every year! And it still manages to make me teary. A holiday classic and favorite.

Thanks, Rhonda and MLC That's quite a compliment and I'm glad you enjoy the story so much. Beth may have been a little girl, but she had a big heart who touched the heart of her guardian angel.
