Yeah it was really sad people couldn't behave themselves. Now that the lunatic fringe has scared her off I'm fearful that they may have frightened off anyone else who may have any old "hey look I used to be friends with him" pics that they'd harmlessly like to share.

It is sad - but it's an unfortunate fact that the actions of an obnoxious few can ruin the fun of the well-behaved many.
My main issue with that picture is that Alex hasn't acknowledged that it is of him, at least as far as we know. So it has a question mark next to it in my mind. I don't mind having it posted on our board, as we are an amazingly kind and supportive and well-behaved group of fans, which makes me very proud. But I think it's important to note that there has been no acknowledgment that the picture is really of Alex.

I don't do FB, so I never saw the comments on his friend's page, but I heard about them.
And I heard their delivery was not always respectful or polite.
Which embarrasses us all. Tho surprises few, I imagine.
However, that being said, i do kinda think he oughta be allowed to release his old photos, if they are gonna be released.
But I imagine the suckers will leak out, regardless of the rude fans'... well... rudeness.
And yes, Alle, I think our bunch can deal with the pic, and one another, with mutual respect.
