Oh honey--nobody was yelling at you! I'm sorry if you thought we were. :comfort:
No, no, I did not think you were yelling, my goodness you guys are wonderful....My mind was thinking "Alex in Pittsburgh", and my hands were typing the wrong info.

Alex just approved a few new comments for his MySpace page, among them one from Pam - MidnightLouie:

"Conratulations on getting the lead in Three Rivers. I know you'll bring a lot to the character and CBS will order the series. WAY TO GO!!!!!"

He may not want to jinx it by saying anything himself -- but he's certainly not hiding it. :D

I haven't heard much at all about The Eastmans, so I really think the decision might come down to Miami Trauma or Three Rivers. TR certainly sounds more original, imo. MT may have Bruckheimer in its corner, but Curtis Hanson is pretty well respected too. Is MT being produced by CBS or an outside studio, does anyone know? That could be a deciding factor too.

So how many days until May 20th upfronts?? :gasp: Hopefully they leak the pick-ups before then. I'm not sure we could take it if CBS drug out the decision until the last minute.

Being original doesn't always bode well with the network, tho... and is this not just like deja vu all over again last year??? :mdrama:
Another plus is that Bruckheimer is notorious for running over budget. Its not so bad when you're doing a major motion picture, but TV shows require budgetary discipline, otherwise you get tofu ice cubes and horrible backdrops during driving scenes. :snicker: So I'm hoping that CBS will go with the "character driven" show, and not a fast-action, fast-paced Bruckheimer show.

Gosh, I still can't catch my breath! Pittsburgh is not too far away from me, definitely closer than L.A. But I think its highly doubtful that Alex will be doing much actual shooting in Pittsburgh. Probably at first (like they said, he's out there for 3 weeks), but once the scenic shots are done, I would imagine the majority of the show will be filmed on Parmount's soundstage. But who knows! He could soon become a huge Penguins fan! :cheer:

Go Alex! We'll be rooting for you to knock their socks off come upfronts! :groupwave: :cheer: :groupwave:

"Dr. Andy, quick she needs a shot of epinephrine! STAT! She took one look at you and went into cardiac arrest!" :rofl2:

Sending all positive thoughts for the new project. Give him a big mainstream hit, please.

But I hope we'll keep the Ml flame alive here.

As a rule I hate medical shows...(mother was a nurse, brother a Dr., D-in-Ls both nurses...)
....but given that I cared not one bit for Vampires before Moonlight...if Alex gets the show...I will watch it...
