You just knew that someone was gonna go there.....

There might be hope for a Moonlight reunion on Three Rivers

The networks are in the process of recasting some of their new shows before the fall season starts. Some of the shows getting new cast members include ABC's The Forgotten, CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles, and Three Rivers, also from CBS.

Don't worry Alex O'Loughlin fans. Three Rivers' hunky vamp turned transplant surgeon isn't going anywhere. But his lead co-star, Julia Ormond, has been shown the door. CBS has yet to announce who will replace Ormond on the show. If they're smart, the network will try to nab O'Loughlin's former Moonlight co-star, Sophia Myles, to replace Ormond.

Our coverage of Moonlight and our recent interview with O'Loughlin taught us a few things: There are tons of Moonlight fans out there. They love O'Loughlin, and they'll watch anything he does. O'Loughlin fans also love Sophia Myles. They couldn't get enough of Mick and Beth's season-long love story on Moonlight.

The idea of casting Myles in Three Rivers might seem like a cheap gimmick to grab and keep Moonlight's devoted audience, and it might be, but it's more than that.

Myles is a great actress. Plus she's beautiful and her onscreen chemistry with O'Loughlin can't be beat. Simply put, Three Rivers might turn out to be a better show with Myles on board, and CBS will have an even bigger instant fanbase for the show once it debuts in the fall. I might even watch it.

What do you say, Moonlight fans? Do you want to see Sophia Myles on Three Rivers?

Because a 29-year-old head of surgery would be so convincing. What is wrong with these people?

That's just an opinion. It doesn't mean she's on the radar of the execs. :juggle: Of course I would love if Sophia got another job with Alex, but I doubt throwing her name out in a blog will achieve that. I think she's way too young for playing Alex' boss.

Been there..done that.. :slaphead:

Big, big fan of Sophia here and would love nothing better than to see them in something together again but that is the stupidest thing I've heard yet.

:wtf: Do these people have the faintest idea how long it takes to get a medical degree, let alone become the head of the transplant team?
Maybe Sophia can guest star later. I would like that!

As far fetched as that my seem to have Sophia take over Ms Ormonds role, it may not be. My father had open heart surgey a few years ago. I almost had a heart attack myself when I saw his surgeon. He looked like he just rolled out of a college dorm room an wandered into CICU. He was only 35 yrs old, but he looked even younger! The oldest one on his team was only 42! These people were young but brilliant. They saved my dad's life! Besides that, Hollyweird always has 25 yr olds playing high school kids, so they could just say Sophia is older than she looks!! That would be a nice problem to have :snicker: Anyway just my :2cents:

Frankly, this just seems like another blogger's attempt to get hits. I hope Sophia would be smart enough to stay miles away from this, even if CBS were dumb enough to offer it to her. I mean, come on--as thoughtful, intelligent fans, aren't you offended by this view of us as sheep that would be dumb enough to fall for this kind of casting gimmick?

This wouldn't help Alex, Sophia, or Three Rivers. It has to be its own thing, not some pathetic Moonlight redux.

Have to agree with Allegrita. It'd be lovely if they wanted to bring Sophia in as a guest star for one episode, but as a regular? Not so much.

Which is nothing against her, I love her, and she's quite talented....it's just not what needs to be done with the new show.

So who exactly IS the person who suggested this ridiculous casting parody? Is this a real tv person? Someone knowledgeable about the business? Or just some Logan-like blogger hangin' in his basement looking for ML fans to make his quota of hits for the week/month/year?

Now..we just need to bring in a young, dashing, snarky Hospital Administrator to round out the cast..(hmmmm..I wonder who that could be??) and we'd have "House" all over again...

TV Squad is nothing but a collection of bloggers. This was someone's flight of fancy or a pathetic attempt to get hits and comments.

The idea is just absurd. Nothing against Sophia, but seriously......a 40 or 50-something head of surgery???? Give me a freakin' break!

probably the latter trying to be the former.

Really. I love Sophia dearly, but I have to agree with y'all that this just isn't feasible or credible. Putting the two of them together in TR would be like pouring gasoline on the smoldering ashes of the hopes for Moonlight's resurrection. CBS is not into that much pain.

Thanks, SS.... that is kinda what I supposed... about the attempt at getting hits, I mean; I would never have figured out that it is a loose collection of individuals...

*still amazed at all that y'all know about Hollywood*

The nice thing about Sophia and Alex was the on screen chemistry. They made the love story believable. Unless they plan to have Dr. Andy falling in love with his Admin...and I hope not. no, not so much. I'd love to see them again, just not here. :wtf:
