I watched it "live," since I don't watch H50. He does look SO much better with the short hair (but then, I hate long hair on guys) and minus the serial killer voice/scary vampire look, he's really not bad--not bad at all!
Funnily enough,
Spoiler:
his character makes a vampire reference!
I was a little surprised at
Spoiler:
how small his role was. His scene was amusing, though.
Even though it was briefer than I would have liked, it was wonderful seeing him in this.
It was especially nice
Spoiler:
to see him in a lighter role -- something where he didn't die, kill someone or end up in a shoot out. We did get to see a bit of humor here and I loved the expression on his face at the end of the scene. I would so love to see Gideon playing more of these confident, snarky sort of characters. Maybe the new look will open up some more opportunities.
This is only the second thing I've seen him in (that I know of)--if I wasn't expecting to see him in this episode, with shorter hair, I might not have realized where I knew him from.
Woot! Hmm... is his hair still super-short? If so, that limits the nature of his roles a bit. He does play awfully good bad guys, so that's not necessarily a handicap. But I do miss his pretty hair...
