Hi all,
Thanks for the heads-up! I'll put in a Help Desk ticket with the web host. Hopefully, it's a temporary issue.

Generally I am finding my entire internet experience a bit "logy" not just here but in my email, etc.
SUNSPOTS????

Well, I'm willing to blame sunspots for a lot of techy problems (they can play havoc on broadcast, especially stuff involving satellites)... but generally speaking, database errors and Server Errors can be blamed on the server hosting our site. The guys in tech support are generally very fast to fix things, so I hope we'll be past this nasty spot soon.

I double checked and there were no ongoing Shelburne discussions, so that isn't the reason this time.

Hope it wasn't my story, though. I tried to avoid the name with S, but I mentioned a burn.

Just wanted to say the board is working smoothly for me now.

Thanks! I noticed that too. Isn't it always the way... your car is making a bad noise and you take it to the mechanic and it works
perfectly.

They told me they're keeping an eye on things...

Just a little follow-up... we've heard from the web host tech support guy, who said:
Changes have been made to the server setup.
I am monitoring the server closely to make sure the changes are effective.

We are in Mercury Retrograde...and I got a total of 8 emails today (Usually I get 40+ from all the things I do). Other family got ZERO..... somewhere in the atmosphere all sorts of info is lurking.

Hi all,
We've had some slowness and server errors today... we've sent in a query to the help desk and hopefully they will do their magic and fix it soon!

Got an answer from the help desk... they say the problem should be fixed, but they'll keep an eye on the server just in case.

Everyone,
Over the past couple of days, we've experienced some server errors, mostly SQL database errors. They are not caused by anything we are doing, so we have logged a ticket with the web host's help desk and hopefully they will be able to figure out what's going on.
So far, the errors have been transient and the board has not gone down for more than a minute or two at a time. But please make a note of the URL of the Moonlightaholics Motel, just in case the problems get worse--we will all head over to the Motel should this board have any serious errors that cause it to go down for any length of time. To our new members--you need to register at the Motel in order to login there, so if you haven't registered yet, you'll need to fill out the registration form there.
