Man, Coraline sure did a number on Mick. I never saw this BTS photos before and without all the blood and gloom those wounds are hideous.

Are you talking about the bite marks on Mick after his wedding night, francis? They are hideous. That's from the pilot--vamps in the pilot had two sets of fangs, top and bottom. So when Cora bit Mick, she really did some damage.

I don't have screencaps, and the only image I could find in Google Images is from moonlightguide.net. It shows Mick with the lower fangs.

Yes, I was talking about that wedding night picture. The lower fangs would explain that damage. I wonder how you can even drink properly with so many punctures.

I'm glad they nixed the monstrous 4 fang idea (as well as the harsh ash-n-vain look to their skin) and opted for the classic 2 canine fang vampire look. Yes the old look was scarier, but much too cartoonish for the sexy show we ended up with. It just wasn't a good fit. Even for the unaired version it just seemed out of place with the look and feel of what they were trying to do.

I agree completely--the aired-version vamps are much, much better.

Of all the scenes from the original pilot, I wish they had kept the nightclub scene...so much better than tropical Mick with guitar.

Wish we could share the some screen caps, but per her request she's asked us not to as the dailies are "exclusive" to this web sight. I can respect that, but OMG seeing the alternative scene of Mick coming down the stairs in TMC walking around to the mirror and examining his bruised ribs and battered face...

I showed my sister the dailies from LLF from the bar scene when Mick gets into the fight and turns towards the bar keep. In one of the takes Alex laughed at what the director said and made a face mocking the director. My sis wanted to make a gif if it, but I told her not to. It would have been a great one to share if I'd let her.

Looking at all the BTS stuff is like you said becoming a ML virgin all over again. "like a virgin touched for the very first time like a moonlight virgin"

Not to get too off-topic here, but in watching Veronica Mars episodes, it's fun to see the things that translated over to Moonlight (like the voice overs, some catch phases like 'I'm a lover, not a fighter'). In the bar scene in LLF, the dailies had different music than what was shown in the finished episode. Oddly enough, the bar music in the finished episode is the same music in a season 2 VM episode where Hector pleads with Weevil to help get the Irish gang off their backs.

Are you kidding, HM? Mick, in a smokey club, unbuttoned vest, loosened tie, blowing on a trumpet?? That scene just personifies human Mick to me so much - I agree with DSR. I wish we'd gotten to keep this Mick and not guitar Mick.

And yes, I'm in the keep-the-original camp too. The pilot scene was soooo much hotter.
