I post from the heart when I respond to fanfic on this forum, and I'm going to do the same for Alex...I take his request seriously. Just a regular fan...letting him know how his performance affected me. I think that would be very meaningful to him.
He's got some huge shoes to fill and it must cause him some anxiety because he's well aware how special Mick is. I'm kind of nervous for him...regardless that I know he'll shine.

Look at it this way...in 2 days, we can say NEXT MONTH!!!

Hmmm... so maybe he really does like cats...

I'm a little nervous for him too. I'm confident he'll knock it out, just hoping it'll be widely well-received. He's such an expressive, versatile actor and a treat to watch in whatever he does! Mick is special to us all; I just hope everyone has an open mind going in and realizes that this is obviously not going to be Mick redux.

But a lot of folks who will see this will have never seen Moonlight... so he'll be new to many of them... and I hope his killer isn't so onerous that he gets pigeonholed as THAT... but we'll see.

But you're right mwj... it's the Moonlight fans who will have to let go of Mick... temporarily at least... and give him his moment.

That's true G. I'd like to see him increase his male fanbase. He's seems like such a guy's guy, so he can certainly do it with the right vehicle.

Having viewed the vast range of his work recently, I can say with confidence that he will do extremely well with this character. He is a talented actor, who happens to be astonishingly good looking. What a combination. He just needs the right vehicle to showcase all that he is, for more people to take note and say "Who is this guy?"


Looking forward to his mood changing when he starts filming--which has got to be happening soon.
