Here in the southern US, that's all we know it as, that is, for those who know anything about the press. The department stores have it listed as a French press. Same in Canada, too, last time I visited a dept store there.

Lookee what I saw today...
This is Mick's actual couch in the Property Building at Warner Bros. Studios.
It was up on a shelf and I almost missed it. The pillows are wrong, of course, but there it is. If only I could have touched it...
I also caught these chairs which I believe were used in the flashback to Coraline's house in The Ringer:

I'd missed these in the show - they are Barcelona chairs (designed by Mies van der Rohe) and available fairly widely.

Ohhh - thanks for the info, Red. Take a look at the flashback scene when Coraline enters a new room just before Mick throws a patio chair through the window. It's very dark, so I'm not 100% positive. What do you think?

I just re-watched - I'm pretty sure you're right.

This lovely pic, posted by Lilly in the Mick thread, caught my eye and made me wonder about the panel behind Mick. Is it a door? A screen? It's a different design from the other screens in Mick's loft and I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or info:

There's a panel?
Seriously, though, what jumps out at me is the intricacy and the strong geometric design of that woodwork. Which seems very in keeping with Mick's personality, and the general noir feel of the series. Mick is is often surrounded by straight lines, caught in a geometric web of circumstances and the past. And once again, that panel makes that statement.
(Sorry to wax poetic, there.)

I had to take another look. Actually, it's a band of Art Deco detailing on the "stone" wall. You can see it better here...
The Deco design is
very much in keeping with the detailing you see in the older buildings in downtown Los Angeles. It's a nice touch here, even if it does seem out of place with the rough, chunky stonework.

From that shot, it looks more like cast bronze than wood or stone.
