It's from the Back Up Plan premiere in LA. The way I can tell is that his collar is edged in gold. If you didn't have that tiny edge on Alex's right hand side, I wouldn't be able to tell.

Well, I don't know if it's real gold. It's just got a gold colored edge.

I was lucky enough to be standing in the crowd at that premiere... and just...

Mmmm.... suits, ties, bikes... I'll take it all!

And you all make me laugh at your attention to detail. I have never noticed the gold-tipped collar in all the times I've seen those pics. But boy, that man knows style. He is such a sharp dresser when he's doing the high brow. I used to think it was Holly dressing him (and thus the occasional Mr. Rogers sweater when she forgot to put something out for him ), 'cause no man has that sense of style without ending up in a fashion career. But he has proven that regular blokes can have an eye for style too (because Holly sure ain't dressing him anymore). So here's to more premieres, when he gets back to making movies (in between 5-0 seasons). Or maybe an Emmy Award ceremony (or two or three...).

Amen to that, HM. I love Alex's quirky casual style, but man does he knock me for a loop when he dresses himself up.

The man was built to wear designer clothes...and his tailor should be nominated for sainthood.
